This is for a Very Solid all original Rare 1979 Lincoln Town Coupe.This is the last of the big Lincolns and these Town coupes are very rare.This car was bought new in this area and has been here all its life,so NO rust ever.I have every piece of original paperwork with including the window sticker,owners manual,sales reciept,folder and even the unused Intial emblems.It was bought Brand new at JNO A POPE LINCOLN MOTOR CO IN COLUMBUS GA on 8-27-79.All this car mainly needs is a repaint and a new vinyl top.There is NO rust anywhere on this car ever.The doors open and shut like new.I removed the original top due to it being split open from sun damage.To my surprize,There was no rust under it, even the paint was still good.Even the factory chalk markings and factory tape is still present.The body is very straight but the paint is faded bad.It is not cracking just faded so it would be a easy repaint.It is a rare color called "Diamond Blue Metallic Moondust".The car runs great,.Exhast is orignal and still good.It has the 6.6(400) engine.The trans shifts smooth and the car drives Great.It has no play in the steering and the tilt wheel is still tight.I believe the miles are actual,but I cannot prove it.Everything works on the car with the exception of the aftermarket radio,but I still have the original 8 track radio that came with it.The power antenna is broken also.The light blue velour interior has some fading but is still very nice with no tears or wear.The dash has no cracks.The carpet,original mats,trunk carpet and headlinner are all still in good shape.There are no funny smells in the car.It does not leak at all.The A/c works but is a little low on freon.It is still the old r 12.The heater is fine.The tires are Old Goodyears and all match with good tread but are dryrotted alittle.I am missing one original hubcap.There is a small dent in the front bumper.See photos.The car is arrow straight and with a new vinyl top and fresh paint this will make a nice car.
