Here is my 1973 Karmann Ghia Convertible up for sale! This is a great looking and fine running VW, perfect for collecting or to use as a daily driver. This Ghia has received a new paint job, new tires, recent brake work, fuel system work and has all original interior! Comes with a brand new convertible top in the box. Drive it anywhere! It has a brand new paint job which looks very nice! All the exterior trim pieces were removed before paint to assure a clean finish and reduce overspray. All exterior chrome trim is original and in great shape. The bumpers and bumper guards appear to be original and are in good condition, some light scratches but very good for a 38 year old car! I have a brand new black convertible top to come with the car for the new owner to have installed or I can even have a local shop put it on for you. The current top has tears and needs to be replaced, the frame is in good shape with no rust and the rear glass window is present! I have been driving it around as it is with the top down which is how I like to drive it so I don't need the top exactly. The car has new side mirrors, nice original Karmann Ghia logo and Volks emblem. The car looks very clean and the exterior is rust free. Interior wise, the car is all original and in fine shape. The seats I believe are original and they are in good shape and are comfortable to sit in. The seats work properly as well, they fold forward and slide back and forth properly. It has the original felt carpeting and it's in good shape, has a bit of wear on the drivers side but for original carpeting pretty good! Door panels are in good shape and both side windows and windshield look great. Dash doesn't have any cracks and the steering wheel and horn button are nice. Dash face looks good with all nice control knobs and it still has the original Sapphire radio which makes fuzz currently. The horn does work and all of the running and driving lights work on the car. Even the fasten seat belt light works! The heater works well as well as the ebrake which is strong. The inside glove box is brand new and cable to pop hood works excellent! Wipers work fine as well as the courtesy light on rear view mirror works good! Mechanically, the car fires right up and the engine is healthy! The compression on the engine has been tested and is all good. No smoke and good power, has original VW sticker on the shroud and original air cleaner setup. The transmission shifts perfectly and does not grind or pop out. Has an Empi trigger shifter with reverse lockout. The car steers very nice with no shaking or issues. Tires are brand new and the brakes and lines are in good working order. Master cylinder is solid and there are no leaks! The fuel system was cleaned out at some point and the tank was taken out and refinished. It has new fuel lines back to the engine and also new filler fuel line, sender looks newer and fuel gauge works! Original floor pans are in good shape overall, no rust around jack points, in fender wells or rear of floors, drivers front has a few small spots that could be spotted, but definately very solid for daily use. If you are looking for a great little Ghia to cruise around in, this might be your car. It's not a show car and I believe I have described it clearly.
