Up for auction today is a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am. Light brown exterior color, Factory 400 with 4spd manual transmition. Also has sought after hurst T-Tops, yes they are the Hurst T-Tops! They have the double latches and measurements are correct. Car is fairly solid. Midwest dry climate car. Never wrecked. The doors dont sag, open and close well! Tires and rims are decient. 8 yr old paint job. It could use a clear-coat pealing off the back areas. There is rust on the driver side quarter pannel as shown in the pictures. Very little rust elsewhere. Rocker pannels, doors, fenders all seem to be pretty straight. Interrior: seats are in excellent shape! Needs carpet, headliner, door pannels. No rust in any floorboards and trunk! Car comes with original transmition, bellhousing. Engine is blown, so it is not included, but for a nominal fee I can include a brand new 0.30 over bore 400 Pontiac high performance, if requested. Car does not have a radiator. Also included is a Chevorlet bellhousing incase you want to put a Chevy motor in. It has a factory posi rear end. Unsure of the gear ratio. Frame is solid, and car comes with complete front end re-build kit as shown in the front passgener seat picture. All wiring is in good shape, and car comes with drive shaft, cross member and hardware. All glass is in EXCELLENT SHAPE!! No scratches or fading. Car has Power Windows and Locks in working condition. It would be a great car to restore, as it is a factory 4spd with a/c. I have too many projects right now to get to this one. I reserve the right to pull the auction at any time, for any reason.
