I have two Austins for sale as a package. I am not sure of the year but think they are 1947 or maybe 1948. Both had been sitting outside since the 60s when I bought them. You can still see the 60s inspection sticker on the 4 door. There is no title with either one of the cars. One is a 2 door Dorset and the other is a 4 door Devon. They are bascially body shells. Since they are fairly rare and hardly ever seen on the road or track, I obtained them with the intention of making a race car out of the 2 door and being different. They are very short wheel base, so I decided to stretch the front end 21 inches and go more for a pro mod type look instead of a gasser look. Due to other things going on I have not finished it. What you see is how far I got. The floors and firewalls are gone in both cars but if their future is being a race car, that really don't matter much since it would be replaced anyway. My intent was to take a portion of the back section of the 4 door and put it on the 2 door and make a coupe (which there were not any from the factory that I am aware of), do away with the truck lid, and have something really different and sinister looking. The last picture was my vision for the car. They have sat collecting dust for several years so I decided to see if there is any interest out there for them. The 4 door has some sort of Volvo engine sitting in it and it has a sun roof. I still have the frame from the 2 door as well. I had even thought up the name for the car "Miss Long Bonnet" for the stretched hood. Anyway if you have any questions, let me know. The cars can be picked up. I don't have a way to get them shipped.
