You are bidding on a very rare first generation BMW M5. These hand built Autobaun road rockets had a discontinued M 1 super car motor stuffed under the hood. The engine is a 3.5 liter dual overhead cam six with 4 valves per cylinder packing nearly 300 HP. Connected to this is a 5 speed transmission which was completely replaced new in 2009. This car is capable of 155 mph. The list of work and replacement parts is overwhelming, needless to say that when even the slightest problem surfaced I jumped all over it. Every thing is 100 % correct on this car and I have tried to maintain the integrity of my M5 in its original form. I have made 3 after market upgrades, suspension has been replaced with new shocks and struts, you will obviously remember that the self leveling hydraulic load suspension were faulty as well as out dated. I have further amended the suspension with a strut brace to eliminate, or lessen the plow in turns. Lastly I have aspirated the car,by replacing the front air filter with a k@n cone filter and replaced the exhaust with a stainless steel system. The car sounds great and performs at high levels. So every body asks why sell the car. 2 reasons, I am not using it and this M5 is at the top of its game . This car will give you no surprises and will take the next owner another 100k miles.
