Vehicle Detail

Up for grab is this awesome 1964 dodge polara, it’s a matching number 383 A/C & P/S. a DICK LANDY (dli) built 383 motor the history of the car is unknown, this car was ordered in the famous dick landy colors, light grey with red interior. I was told by the last owner that it has one of the last motors DICK LANDY did before he passed away, the motor is still fresh and runs really strong, the valve covers have the “DLI” (DICK LANDY INDRUSTRIES) sticker with address and phone number on it and as you can see from the photos the block is also stamped “DLI” the heads too are stamped but I haven’t taken off the valve covers to look for the stamping, the motor features new aluminum intake with a big Holley carb, street wedge exhaust manifolds and a big block air cleaner. The dash is perfect and has all the chrome and molding but sorry to say there is no glove box lining. . The body is rock solid and very straight, the only signs of rust is on the cowl next to the windshield where they all rust and two holes on the fire wall where the heated core leaked, the A/C unit and lower chrome vents have been removed and are in the trunk, there is no A/C compressor. the trunk and floors are 100% rust free, at one time someone made a custom out of this car and redid the seats in red tuck and roll velour and did the door panels in vinyl , carpet is dirty and a bit faded but the headliner is in really nice shape, the prevous owner also filled in the side trim and had plans on replacing it with "330" trim which is included. the car still have the factory non working AM radio and all the gauges and turn signals, taillights, headlights and interior lights work I did notice the dash light don’t work. The car runs and drives and stops nicely and like most other Mopars leaks tranny fluid but I was told it’s from the selector shaft and it’s an easy fix, this car had made the trip 400 mile from LA to Vegas a few times ran great, it runs nice and cool, no overheating and is just a great car. The best feature is the 383 that was built by none other than “Dandy Dick Landy” himself at the cost of about $6,500.00 back in 2006. This car is truly a piece of Dick Landy History, it is a black plate California car, from Downey Dodge, and I’ve got the full Chrysler Historical Collection’s report as well as a copy of the build sheet to prove it is in fact a “383” polara A $500.00 non refundable deposit is required within 24 hours of the auction and shipping is up to the buyer, I would be happy to help with delivery to the port of Los Angeles after payment via wire transfer. Thank you and good luck!
