We are selling this 1996 Chevrolet C3500 Crew Cab long bed single rear wheel truck due to the fact we bought it to pull our horse trailer and we never used it for that. It has never had a gooseneck ball put in it or brake box, so it has never pulled a trailer larger than the receiver hitch could carry. The transmission was slipping when we got it, so we had it repaired by having a GM Remanufactured unit installed. The brakes are new all the way around along with the replacement of the brake lines (that are a common problem) to the rear of the truck. Also installed a new blower motor for the HVAC, heat works awesome, needs A/C recharged. New wipers and two new batteries. The 6.5L Turbo Diesel runs smooth with no issues that I have noticed. The tires are in great shape with shiny aftermarket aluminum wheels. Now for the bad, it was a work truck and did sit for quite some time prior to our owning it. It had dents and dings, there is surface rust on top of the bed rails from where I am guessing a ladder rack was installed. The left front fender was replaced from another truck, it is a shade off in color. The tint on the rear windows is scratched, otherwise the interior is not in bad shape for a truck of it's age. I have updated the pictures. The truck is 2wd and I would not be afraid to get in and drive it anywhere I wanted to go. I am not warrantying it for any reason, just telling you what I would do. I wanted to clarify this, because I have had several questions that led me to believe this read like we are selling a junk truck and that it is not the case. I am leery of this because a good friend sold a truck on here and the guy thought that because he paid $7,000 for a 4 year old truck that it was supposed to be NEW and actually tried to file a claim over it! I am just trying to avoid anything of that nature by describing it honestly to the best of my ability. The truck is also for sale here locally and I will end the auction if it is sold first. There is no reserve on this auction, if you are wanting to know what it will take to buy it, it is a simple answer, just bid what you are willing to pay.
