Here is a 1958 Chevrolet Apache step side short bed 3100, small rear window truck up for bid. This truck has the original in lilne 6, I believe to be the 230 or 235cu engine and a turbo 350 transmission that I had put in. This truck is an original California truck bought in San Diego 2003 and brought back to my place here in Chicago Illinois. The truck has always been kept in storage and never seen any bad weather not even rain. The truck has a new gas tank, sending unit, wood bed, Lokar shifter, headlight bezels, cruising skirts, visor, Coker 4” white wall tires, crossbar hubcaps and a newly reupholstered bench seat. The frame and floors are very, very solid. This truck is a hit at the local car shows and always receiving thumbs up from wherever we drive. The truck was painted turquoise blue back in 2003 when I bought it back in California but the paint job was not the greatest. You can see hairline cracks in different places and some of the old color paint that was not completely stripped down when it was painted. To honestly have a gold spinner winner I would soda blast the paint off to the metal and reshoot the truck all over again; it shows well but when you really get up close you can see all the slight imperfections. You can drive it as is or make it perfect, it’s all a matter of preference. Sold as is, no warranty. Buyer is responsible for shipping.
