1967 Sunbeam Alpine 2dr convertible Fair reserve - bid it to win it ! dont regret you didnt later ! Original motor was removed several yrs ago and replaced with a 2.3L Ford Motor w/ Weber and a few other mods. Transmission in now a 3 spd auto. Odometer shows aprox 44k on it, could easily be original. Cars been barely driven since 1990 Starts up and runs great for its age. Ive driven it up to the store and around the block a few times enjoying the Fall days of Arizona. Hit the key and it fires right up. Because the car sat for a long time, we cleaned out both fuel tanks, and put in fresh gas and some fuel filters. It got the car to the running point, but would prob still need more cleaning to the fuel system before making it a driver. This cars been in Az for as long as we can track it (over 20 yrs) The body has minimal rust in a few areas, the front floors got the worst of it, but still very usable as is, the trunk is very nice. This car is much nicer then any eastcoast or midwest car. Motor / trans are much easier to work on and mod up if you want, and cheaper to fix too. Suspension: New Spax shocks installed several yrs ago Factory front swaybar and Disc Brakes up front. The car sat in a carport for the last 20 yrs or so and Az took its toll on the vinyl, plastic and rubber of the interior. The convert top skeleton looks to all be there, but parts seem to be broken. The important stuff looks to be there. Most of the important trim and components all there making the restoration more Original and easier. Chrome and stainless Trim still in nice shape with no pitting. Car is still very complete even in its present state. Headlights not working, but it does have brakelites. Im going to look at that this week to see if its something simple. Car is super solid, doors etc all close well and tight for their age What you will see in the pics below is: Ive been all over and Under the car, and have pics to below to prove our claims. Check out ALL the pics below and you can see for yourself. Tires are getting old, showing their age. Obviously this is not a restored car. Most of these cars were run into the ground and or forgotten about yrs ago. Anyone can throw shiney paint and a bunch of off the shelf aftermarket parts on a car and say its "restored" But the value for your $ doesnt make worth buying. ALPINES are just one step away from being a TIGER !! This car would be great restored with its current drivetrain, or possibly down the road install a Turbo 2.3L motor or possibly a 5.0 in it. An ERA alot of us remember like it was just yesterday. We really try to have realistic prices on all of our auctions and want to sell cars, not sit on them for another year. LOTS OF PICS, it may take a full minute for them all to load if you have a slow connection, so be patient. You buy cars like this because they remind you of your youth and how much fun you had growing up and cruising was your main priority. This is a great car that would restore nicely. Drive it the way it is, or restore it while you are using it. It is an example of the UK invasion of cars in the 60s.
