Vehicle Detail

I am original owner.Excellent condition; all scheduled maintenance performed by authorized dealers; Metzler Tourance dual sport tires have about 600 miles on them; chain and rear and front sprockets changed at 10,000 miles; battery is one year old. Extras included in price: ABS, heated grips, hand-guards, tall windshield (original also included), wide dual sport footpegs, Jesse Luggage panniers, Touratech tank-bag.Minor flaws: I bent rear break lever to make it shorter; a small piece of rubber from right grip broke off as I attempted to remove wrist rest (see pictures).Reason for selling: Bike was a ton of fun, but this year I purchased 2 other bikes, a Yamaha Super Tenere 1200 for road trips and a WR250R for dirt trips, so I don't use the Beemer. On Oct-24-11 at 19:02:31 PDT, seller added the following information: Update: A couple of bidders have asked for the reserve price. It is $4,000. Good luck! On Oct-27-11 at 20:54:53 PDT, seller added the following information: Update: one of you asked why I took this bike out of auction last week and re-listed it. ebay cancelled the auction because they found a suspicious bidder who was unregistered. Also, someone asked about how much I had ridden off-road: The bike has been off-road on national forest/jeep/gravel type roads for about 25% of the miles. I can think of only two occasions when I took the bike to places where I had to turn around because the terrain was beyond my ability and that of the suspension of the bike. For the most part terrain that a regular two wheel car could have navigated. Maybe a 100 miles or so of terrain where stock four wheel drive cars would have been needed. However, I never abused this bike. I have dropped it about 7 times at very low speeds on dirt roads but there is no damage to the body. The only visible damage has been scuffing of the hand-guard end bolts. The hard cases took the brunt of all those impacts. The rear suspension was replaced once at about 8,000 miles; one of the front turn signals was replaced at about 5,000 miles. I have taken meticulous care to clean and service the bike after each long trip and at the recommended mileage intervals.
