Vehicle Detail
Listed is a 1963 Triumph TR4 roadster. Although not perfect car is in very acceptable condition, running and driving extremely well. The car has been in the Dallas/Frt Worth area for the last 15-20 years seeing limited use. The eight spoke aluminum alloy wheels and 195/65 x 15 Goodrich radial TA tires are relatively fresh. Engine runs very well with the oil pressure ranging between 50 and 80 lbs of oil pressure. Compression is equal across the cylinders at 135 to 140 psi. Clutch and transmission both work smoothly with absolutely no grinding going in and out of the gears. Differential is noiseless. The car sits very well on the suspension with the shocks and springs in proper order. Brakes are at the top and stop evenly with no shimmy. Convertible top is in nice condition with no rips or tears, or yellowing of the plexiglass. Full tonneau is included. Seats are in nice condition as well as the side and door panels. There is one small split at the top of the driver's seat. Carpet is in decent condition as well showing minimal wear. All gauges are original Jaeger and are in working order. Exterior chrome is nice with no dings or dented bumpers. Left rear bumperette has a small dent. Grille is in very nice condition. Body is straight with the paint in nice condition for having been painted 25 years ago. There are a couple of spots where rust is starting to come through which is pictured. Drivers door has a dent from being opened too far. Door is not sprung. Floorboards and footwells are solid with no rust as shown in the photographs. Body fit is decent. Doors could use some minor adjustment work. The TR4 has been owned by the same family for 30 years having been passed down from father to son. Although not perfect, the Triumph is a nice car that needs a very limited amount of work to be a very nice example.
