Vehicle Detail

Up for bid is a 1967 Dodge Coronet 440 2 door Hardtop. This is a really nice, original car that would be an EASY RESTORE or you could drive it as it is. As far as I can tell, this vehicle has not been repainted nor had any patch panels installed. This is a very, very solid car with very, very little rust. The only rust present is small a small area of surface rust on the bottom of the front right quarter panel. Honestly, this would not take much to fix other than sanding. This car was originally purchased in South Dakota, but spent its life in Western Nebraska where the climate is DRY!!!! Thus the condition of this car. I bought the car from the 2nd owner about 10 years ago with the intention of restoring it, but I have too many projects in the works and don't have the time to finish this one!! It has been stored in my climate controlled garage since the day I bought it. I get it out once a month or so and drive it about 15 miles to keep everything lubricated. The motor in the car is not original. It is a 318 that was put in by the previous owner. I did have the heads reworked but this car is screaming for a big block 440 or even better, a HEMI which was what I was going to put in it. The body is in outstanding condition as I have mentioned previously. That is what drew me to the car in the first place. You just dont find them this orginal in this nice of condition. No dents, very very little surface rust, no patch or replacement panels. The paint is most likely orginal and is an awesome bronze metallic. It is obviously pretty thin in spots especially on the roof, hood an trunk. All chrome is present and in good condition as is all the glass although the rear window is getting foggy. The wheels are orginal Dodge magnum, tires are in good shape as well. The trunk has zero rust, the spare is present and there is an original air conditioning unit that goes along with the car. The interior is also original except for the carpet it appears. The color of the interior is black. The seats are rough being original vinyl. The is a lot of duct tape placed on the front and rear seats to cover the tears (not by me!!!). There is no headliner although all the braces are still attached to the roof. Guages all work and all electrical works as well. Windows crank fine. The transmission is the original torqueflight. It does slip a little, but once the car has been driven a while it is fine. Again, the engine in not believed to be original but runs ok. All of the original stickers are present in the engine bay as is the fender tag. This car would be an excellent candidate to restore to orginal as not much bodywork at all would be required to get it perfect if you wanted to repaint it. The interior would need to be re-done though. Or you could keep it as it is and drive it as a survivor!! They are only original once!!!! Bidding will start at just $3500 with NO RESERVE!!! Email me if you have any questions and if you would like to talk to me on the phone, include your phone number and I will give you a call. Thanks and Good Luck!!!
