Vehicle Detail

2007 GSX-R1000 (14k miles) Time has come for me to part with my beloved toy. I am at a point of my life where I have to "switch gears" sort-of-speaking. I had this bike delivered to me from Iowa in November of 2008 from a car dealership where the owner traded it in for an Escalade. It had only 1,100 miles on it. Adult driven. Current Additions/Replacements: 1. Replaced Mirrors (Used). After replacing them for the 3rd time I figured that the reason why they were coming loose was because I kept on folding them each and every time I would put it in a garage and cover it. So this 3rd pair hasn't been folded for 4 months now and mirrors no longer "shake" on the highway. 2. Brand new Double-Bubble Zero Gravity Windshield (about ¾ inch higher than the stock one) 3. Brand new windshield bolts 4. Chrome GSX-R Bar-Ends 5. Chrome Levers (the guy who traded the bike in tipped the bike at his garage and it cracked the clutch lever, which happens all the time with bikes as you are aware. What also didn't help was that he had chrome frame sliders at the time which are a lot shorter than the regular ones). 6. Chrome Rims -- Havoc - RC Components -- best of the best, not that fake-dipped chrome rims you get from ebay. You will get the rim-shine with your purchase. 7. New Tires - Dunlop Q2's. Installed them in May of this year. Excellent tires and I've put about 2k miles on them so far and not planning on riding this season any more. They have about 50% tread left. Now I did just get a rear tire punctured after doing the famous "Chicago Halloween" ride, but I got it patched up and it rides like a champ. (I do recommend changing the tire if you are planning on riding "slightly above the speed limit if you know what I mean.) Front tire is in a perfect condition. 8. GSX-R (black) frame sliders with replaceable ends 9. BMC Racing Air Filter (about 1.5K miles on it) 10. Aftermarket License Plate Holder 11. Both Forks professionally re-sealed. (I do not practice wheeling, but as you know, all it takes is for a little bit of dust to get in under the seal and it will start leaking, that's why I had them both re-sealed.) 12. Full Yoshimura Exhaust -- NOT A SLIP-ON. 13. PCIII with a custom mapped by Cycle Tech 1" from Summit, IL. Put down 169 hp, with 69 ft lbs of torque. Imperfections: (yes there are a few): 1. I had some piece of household equipment land on the tank due to a vibration from the garage door. It made about a quarter-size dent in the tank. I did intend to fix that but honestly it is barely noticeable, does not hinder the designated function of the tank in no way, shape, or form, and paying $500 just to replace it with a new one is not worth it for me.2. Left fairing has very small, barely noticeable scratches on them back from when the original owner tipped the bike over. Same story as the tank, $300 to replace the fairing -- not worth it for me.3. Rear tire is mentioned above. Besides that, the bike is completely ready to ride. It has a clear title, never been wrecked, never been down. The engine pulls just as strong as it did when I bought it. I can't tell any difference in performance or looks between now and when I first got it. This bike will do triple digits all day long, no problems what so ever. I am not selling this bike to buy another one; I am selling it to get out of biking completely. Oil changes have been done regularly. Another one is due in about 1k miles. Bike is always garaged and covered, with a fuel stabilizer being added for winter storage. (You will get a GSX-R cover with your purchase). This bike has not been abused or stunted in any way, shape, or form. I rode this bike just the way it was intended to. My bike is very well known locally as I ride with a big crew and it's a real head-turner, so there are a lot of people who can vouch for its reliability and durability. KBB prices the bike at $7,195 (Excellent Condition). For me, no used bike is in an excellent condition if it has any miles on it, so the best condition that a bike can be is "Very Good." This bike IS in a "very good" condition, especially for an almost a 5-year old bike. Counting just the additions and replacements that are currently on the bike, it has well over $2,500 invested outside the price of the bike. Lengthy description, but if you are serious about buying a motorcycle then you need every detail you can get. You are more than welcome to come by and see the bike which is located in Lake Zurich, IL. If you need the vin # please email me at alekseybabin@gmail.com and I will gladly provide it for you. There will be absolutely no joy rides unless I have the cash in my hand, don't even bother bringing your id's or passports. Without the cash or PayPal payment, back seat ride is as close as you are going to get to ride it. Finally, please KNOW WHAT YOU ARE BUYING. This thing has more power than an average biker knows what to do with. This bike will light up any stock production corvettes, ferraris, lambo's, gto's, porsches, you-name-it. It's a very, very powerful motorcycle and definitely not for beginners. I most defiantly do not recommend anyone without prior experience (150cc dirt bike don't count) to even consider buying it. This bike is a beauty and a beast, and it's a pleasure to ride, but it's extremely dangerous if you don't know what you are doing. E-mail is the best way to reach me during the day. Feel free to call/text me any time between 5 p.m and midnight. (224) 715-Seven-Three-Zero-One.On Oct-19-11 at 18:21:54 PDT, seller added the following information: REVISED, PLEASE READ:I was just asked to send pictures of the few minor scratches that the bike has so I thought I would take some other ones as well along with it. A few things I would like you to turn your attention to:1. Turns out that the bike has 15,148 miles to be exact. I know I put 14k before and I deeply apologise if it caused any inconvenience to any of the bidders or anyone who's currently watching the bike. This was an honest mistake as I barely ever keep the overall milage on my dash. I usually run in a "trip mode" so I know when to fuel up. I thought I would mention this now so I don't get emails and phone calls from your parents telling me "My little Johny crashed the bike because you misled the buyers and misadvertised your milage by 1,148 miles"...just saying. Honest mistake, very sorry. 2. The only thing I forgot to mention is the bolt that holds the right main seat (where the rider sits, right above the battery) is missing. For some reason it got stripped and fell out. I really have no idea why that happened since the only time I ever needed to lift the seat was to replace the battery and for the shop to install my PCIII. Again, just like other few things I had mentioned earlier, I've been driving without this bolt for a while now and it has never been an issue for me. 3. If anyone is interested in other pictures feel free to email me or text me. I will email you everything I have as soon as I get your email. Please email me at alekseybabin@gmail.com, I will get it on my blackberry as soon as you send it to me (and as soon as I see it.)4. I know all the SCUMMERS, I mean scammers, probably won't even read this part, but if you do, please stop emailing me...please?! I am trying to be as transparent here is possible. There is nothing to hide here, there is no "catch." I am not desperate to sell this bike and I promise you it won't be sold for less than $5k (hint, hint). If you want a bike for less than that then go get a 600cc bike, those are fun too, so I hear.I will assist with shipping as much as I can. I will personally make sure that it gets loaded on the truck if you are not here and I will send you numerous pictures of it on the truck if that is something you would like. Good luck on bidding and I hope whoever wins gets to enjoy her as much as I used to. She trully is beautiful!!! P.S. I forgot to add the VIN #, in case someone needs it, here it is: JS1GT77A772102496. I have never checked the history of the bike but you are more than welcomed to do so at your own expense. I have the CLEAR title in my hands and the winner will receive it with the bike (or in the mail - whatever your prefer).
