Vehicle Detail
ST1300 - Honda's Legendary Street-Touring Machine: O.k....If you're reading this, you probably know something about what some have called the greatest motorcycle ever made. This 2005 ST1300 is adult owned, garaged and in excellent running condition. I first saw Honda's ST1300 on the highway while traveling through Virginia Beach in 2005. The sporty curves and attitude of a street bike with the comfort and power of a touring machine. I didn't even know what I was looking at but it was love at first sight. I bought this one from a dealer in 2007. My first motorcycle was a Honda Z-50 that I rode as a five-year old. I've owned many motorcycles in the forty-two years since then but the ST1300 is by far the best bike I've ever ridden. So why am I selling? It's simple--I need the money. This bike is offered with a Corbin seat, heated grips, power windshield, Helibar Tour Performance handlebar riser and more. The ST1300's 7.7 gallon gas tank is fantastic. The incredibly smooth power, maneuverability and perfect center of gravity will tempt you to make pipe-scraping turns without fear. With its stylish Corbin seat, this one is as comfortable and fun to ride from state to state as it is to the gym or grocery store. Avon Storm tires (front and back) are about 80%. Please note that the speedometer/odometer assembly was replaced under warranty in 2008. The odometer read 7199 at the time of this service but went to zero with the installation of the new part. Actual mileage is 10,168 (7199 added to the 2969 shown in the photo). No funny business here. The staff at Lancaster Honda can verify this mileage and I will provide a copy of the work order to any interested buyers. Only a few minor, age-appropriate nicks. One noticeable scratch on the mirror cover is shown in the photos. Feel free to contact me for a closer look if you're in the area and/or email any questions. I have a clear title in hand. This motorcycle is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if I receive the Buy it Now price from a buyer in my area. There's plenty of fall riding to be done and with the low reserve price, the bike is a steal you'll appreciate even more come springtime. Bid with confidence, my feedback as a buyer and seller is 100%! ST1300 Features Color: Candy Dark Red - liquid-cooled 1261cc longitudinally mounted V-4 engine produces 125 bhp at 8000 rpm and 85 lb./ft. of torque at 6000 rpm for effortless acceleration and passing power. - Programmed fuel injection and electronic digital ignition maximize power output and provide immediate throttle response. - Aluminum frame produces excellent handling, superb riding comfort and excellent road feel. - Touring features include full-coverage bodywork, Corbin seat, and two large, 35-liter detachable saddlebags. Push-button power windscreen. Engine & Drive train The ST1300's low overall center of gravity contributes to improved low speed handling. The 360 degree crank contributes to a very broad powerband. Two engine counter-balancers virtually eliminate primary and secondary vibration. Both gear-driven counter-balancer shafts are installed in the lower crankcase, to the left side of the crankshaft. The first shaft is driven directly by the crankshaft at a 2:1 ratio. The second shaft is positioned below the first and is driven in the opposite direction by the first balancer shaft's drive gear. The combination of these two balancers assures an unbelievably comfortable ride for the long-distance touring rider.
