Vehicle Detail
You are viewing a used 2001 Ford Ranger that I have for sale. I bought it from a local car dealer that took it in on trade for a new one. It has hail damage! That is why they traded it in. It runs and drives great. I have been using it for an errand truck the last few days since I bought it and it is really mechanically a nice truck. The engine in it is a 2.3 liter four cylinder. It starts right up every time and runs smoothly with no weird noises. The transmission is a five speed manual transmission. It shifts and drives nice and the clutch works as it should as well. I have been surprised at how much pep and power this truck has even with a four cylinder. It really gets up and goes. It is great around town running errands, it just zips around fast and is easy to park and maneuver around. I have not checked the mileage, but I bet with the four cylinder engine and the five speed manual with overdrive, it will get great gas mileage for a truck. I in The inside of the truck is in excellent condition. Whomever had it took good care of it. The dash and everything is in good clean condition. The only stain is a yellow stain on the passenger seat - see last photo. The truck has two bucket type seats with a third small seat in between with a third seat belt. It does seat three, but the middle one better be a small child - three adults is a tight fit! The drivers seat has one very small wear spot on the side, but other than that, the interior is very nice. All the gauges work and stay where they should when it is operating. The odometer shows 134917 miles when I took the photos, but it will have a few more as I am still driving the truck. I will stop using it when the first bid is placed. The windows are crank up and down and it does not have power locks, but with a truck this size, you can reach the other door so easily, that I have not needed them. The former owner added a real nice Alpine brand radio that works great. The air conditioning blows cold and the heater works. Here in Missouri at this time of the year, a lot of mornings you need the heat and in the afternoon you need the A/C - it all works great! The truck is very comfortable to get around in. The tires are 225-70R15 size. The front two have excellent tread, one of the rear has about 50% tread and the other rear one has very little tread, but they are all good newer tires. I can tell on our gravel driveway that the wheel that spins out first if you take off too fast is the one that has the least tread. All the tires hold air and work fine and are in good condition, I would not be afraid to drive it anywhere on them to get it home. The exterior is in very good condition except for the hail damage. There is very little if any rust anywhere. You can tell that the paint was very clean, glossy, and rust free before the hail damage. There are a lot of hail dings! The top rail of the bed has dings on it, the hood has them, and so does the roof. See photos and plan on the whole top surface of the truck having hail damage. All the glass in the truck is good. The tailgate opens and closes like it should. You can tell from the bed that they never hauled anything heavy or big in the bed. It is not damaged or dented up like some are. The tag on the door reads that it has a 112 inch wheel base. I smelled antifreeze when I was driving it the other day and I noticed the water pump was damp around it. I took it to the local Ford dealer and they installed a new water pump on it for me. They also checked and performed any recalls that Ford showed it needed and replaced a loose wire. I have the receipt here and the buyer can have it as the water pump is under warranty with Ford. I had them check the whole truck over and they said it is in very good shape (except for the hail damage!). The truck runs and just drives great. It is in very good condition. I do not know what it would cost to fix the hail damage, but if you do, it won't make it drive any better than it already does. The most noticable hail damage is on the hood. I would install a new black hood and it would do wonders if you want it to look better. The truck is a pleasure to drive and you will be pleased with it mechanically and with the interior - just not with the hail damage! I had the truck inspected and it passed fine. If you use the BUY-IT-NOW price, I will replace the rear tire that does not have much tread with one that matches the other three, and I will take it and have the oil changed and serviced at Jiffy Lube for the drive to it's new home. NO RESERVE! I am selling this truck with no hidden reserve. My opening bid is the least I will take for it. If anyone places a bid, it will sell to the highest bidder here on ebay. LOCAL PICK UP I am a cattle farmer here in Mid-Missouri, so I am flexible about when you want to come and get items you have purchased from me, but I try and keep a schedule for my families benefit. I ask that you come between 9:00 in the morning and 4:00 at night. I am not available on Sundays whatsoever - that is God and family day, so don't ask! Just because I am a farmer does not mean that I am here everyday, I travel around to auctions and surplus sales and am gone several times a week. So don't do like some folks have in the past and drive 800 miles to get here and find out I am gone. You must contact me before you just show up! My granny always said that showing up unannounced was rude - you have to give people notice so they can get presentable. Trucking/airport pickup I have a local trucking company that I highly recommend that you call if you need a quote on having larger items like machinery and large trucks hauled to you. They are DAB Transport and their phone number is: (816)230-4135. They are located in Odessa, Missouri, and are just all around good folks to deal with. They are equipped to deal with about anything you need hauled, including tall bucket trucks and heavy machinery. I am located 100 miles West of the St. Louis airport, 10 miles off Interstate 70 at the Kingdom City exit #148 in Fulton, Mo, 65251. If you buy a vehicle from me and want to drive it home, there is a nice shuttle service that runs between the Kansas City (KCI) airport and the St. Louis (STL) airport. It is called: MO-X. They make a stop at my exit on I-70 at a McDonalds restaurant to pick up and drop off passengers. I can meet you in Kingdom City with your vehicle purchase so you can drive it home. There is also a local license bureau where you can buy a one way trip permit temporary tag if you want one. I require payment in full within one week of auctions end. Once it is paid for, there is no hurry for you to pick it up - take six months if need be! If you don't come get it after six months have passed since the end of the auction, it will be resold, and my wife gets the proceeds. If you have a legitimate reason why you need to wait longer than six months to pick up your purchase, contact me and we will work something out. If you have any questions, you can e-mail or call me at (573) 219-6611. Thanks for looking and please check out my other auctions! CONTACT ME If you have any questions about this item, or about delivery or shipping, you can call me or email me. Don't be shy! The only stupid question is the one you are afraid to ask. I prefer email as it lets me answer questions at night when I am not busy and it gives me time to find the right answer to your questions. I also run tractors and skid loaders here on the farm and a lot of times I do not hear my phone. I also live in a rural area and in a lot of places I do not get phone service. One of the places I do not get good coverage is in my shop! So if you can't get me on the phone, try back later or better yet, send me an email and I will get back with you. You can send me an email through ebay or you can send it to me directly to: olivetroad@gmail.com My cell phone number is: (573)219-6611 Check out my other items! Be sure to add me to your favorites list!
