Selling my 2001 BMW 740i Sport for no reserve. Final bid wins my car... A real 2001 740I sport package car in one of the best colors. If you have been looking then you found the right car. Anthracite grey and grey leather. Yes its a real sport package car and not just a car with the upgraded BMW sport pkg wheels like most of the 740s. The sport package is 18" parallel wheels, sport suspension, sport steering wheel, sport seats, and sport transmission. It is the last year of the E38 chassis car and one of the best handling 7 series BMWs made. It has the wide screen navigation screen which is easy to view and operate. It even works while the car is in motion not like the current nav systems with a block while driving. This car is clean with no accidents, clean title and non smoker car. Previous owner serviced at Sonnen BMW in San Rafael. It has just been gone through my my mechanic. I have done a lot of work to make sure she is running in tip top shape to carry around the family. Selling my car because of lack of use and too many cars in the household. Car starts right up and runs excellent. Engine and transmission are very healthy. Shifts smoothly and crisp. Amazing handling for a sedan. Passes smog fine. AC blows ice cold. All window shades working. Leather in great shape. Wood in great shape. Has 6 disc changer in trunk. Currently registered in california and clean title in hand. Have all keys from new and owners manuals. The electronics are working fine- navigation, xenon head lights, signals, dash lights, gauges, speedometer/odometer, radio, windows, sunroof, and alarm. Even the motion interior motion detector works great. The air bag light is on for pass side seat and kidney grill loose in the front hood. The continuous-motion Active Comfort Seat technology was introduced in 1998 to improve comfort and reduce fatigue for the driver and front passenger.When the E38 was phased out in 2001 to make way for the new E65, sales of E38s increased noticeably in the car's final months of production as people moved to buy the car before it was replaced. The E65's radical styling and iDrive was not initially well-received by consumers, so used E38s increased in value as demand increased. Also contributing to the E38's continued popularity was its appearance in several films such as Tomorrow Never Dies, The Transporter, Bimmer and The Game.
