1977 Honda CB

Up for auction at low reserve is my 1977 Honda CB400f Super Sport. I bought this bike about 2 years ago and rode it for only a year before putting it in storage. Unfortunately I no longer have the time to ride it and financial issues force me to sell. The bike was running beautifully when put away... plenty of power, no smoke, and the transmission shifts seemlessly. I tried starting it a few weeks ago and found the battery was dead. I put it on a charger but it won't hold a charge. Also, the front brake caliper is binding from sitting. This is a great bike but a little work will need to be done before riding. The tank and carbs should be flushed/cleaned and oil changed. I purchased 4 carb rebuild kits, new plugs, oil filter etc to freshen it up but never found the time. These parts will be included with the bike. Also, the seat is torn. I bought a new factory style seat cover to replace it ($90) but.... no time to put it on! This is also included and only takes about an hour to do. Other known issues.... the tank has a ding on the right side and the front fender has a dent. The chrome is average but original.... looks good from 10 feet away but won't win any best-of-show awards as it stands now. The rear half of the pipe was painted flat black by the previous owner but can be removed with a little patience. The rear shocks are not original. They were replaced with aftermarket dual-rate lowering shocks. The tires were replaced last year and only have about 500 miles on them. Other than that this is a great rider! Purists know what an excellent bike this is. Additional pics can be supplied if needed (within reason!) and local buyers are welcome to see it in person. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. The turnsignals are not shown in the pics...they're not mounted but are included...just plug em in and bolt them down. The tank is clean. Again...the seat shown in the pic is torn... I have a brand new seat cover that's included. this is a RIDER, not a show bike! I've had a ton of questions about pics... I added more but I can't take a pic of everything. I've tried my best to point out all problem areas... the rest is typical for a bike it's age. I have a 100% feedback rating...I'm not trying to make a quick buck by ripping someone off. If you have ANY questions please ask and I'll do my best to answer. Because it's been sitting it will need a weekend's worth of care to get it running and roadworthy again. If I had the time I'd do it myself! Finally, I lowered the reserve to $812 hoping for a sale. Thanks!
