In my opinion, after 30 years of selling Mercedes Benzes throughout the world, this is, without a question, a moving work of art. It has been extremely well maintained both mechanically and cosmetically. The body is particularly sound without any rust issues. The odometer reads 79,183 miles which we assume means that it has been driven less that 3,895 miles per year for a total of 179,183 miles but it looks like a 5,000 mile masterpiece. There were very few of the Fintail with the high grille made and that makes this a very rare specimen indeed. When you think about the 300SE Fintail going for well over $25,000.00 today it makes you realize that this exceptional example will not be far behind in escalating value. It is finished in a German yellow with an impeccable camel interior, highlighted with beautifully refinished walnut woodwork and Kiihlmister A/C unit . It is fitted with a rebuilt Mercedes 2.2L straight 6 cylinder engine with rebuilt Zenith duel carbs, power brakes,front disc, rear drums,power steering which affords one excellent handling and driving pleasure. It is fully automatic 4 speed trans; four wheel drum brakes, and tight handling suspension.
