Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1969 Lincoln Continental Mark III. This rare piece of history is hard to find, and is quite unique for a 1969 vehicle. This lincoln is believed to be a 2 owner car, and is all original. It came with the powerful 365 horse power 460 cu engine, and front disc brakes ( which are very rare considering the only other cars of that year equipt with disc were the Corvette, and the special order SS Camaro). The paint looks to be original, with some shine still, and the wheel covers look exceptionally nice. The car has the usual wear and tear thats expected from a car that is 42 years old. The body is very straight with no signs of any previous accidents. There is some minor surface rust in areas on the underside of the car, but is not bad , and probably could be pressure washed off , and a small hint of light rust in the quarter area, but it is very hard to see, and the car looks great as you view it. The interior is in fine shape, with only some usual tears in the drivers seat from normal driving, but the rest of the seats, dash, carpet, door panels etc... are in fine condition. The car runs fine, has a small exaust leak, and needs front brakes. The hideaway headlights work very well, as you might notice from the pictures I enclosed. This car drives down the highway at speed , and starts every time I get it out of my heated storage garage. The car came equipped with air conditioning, and I'm sure the system would work, If a new ac compressor was installed back on. In closing this rare 1969 lincoln mark III, is a very collectable car, and the values for lincolns of this era are soaring, especially the powerful 1969 2 door, with the big 460 engine. The is what it is, not new, needs some light restoration, and could be an excellent show/collector piece with a bit of fine tuning, and TLC. I am retired now, and am forced to part with my favorite lincoln, I would love to see it go to a good new owner, Thanks for looking, and happy bidding!!
