1988 Honda NT 650

This is a '88 GT Hawk which is in mint condition. I am the second owner, the first owner was an engineer who cared for it as meticulously as I did. The miles put on it have been gentle ones, mostly used for touring around the mountains and weekend trips. It was not used for commuting. Mostly everything on it is original, however four items were added that are not stock: The windscreen was added for comfort, heated hand grips, new tail lights (old ones were sagging--these new signal lights are from a Buell. I also have the front ones, but have not installed them yet), and lastly--it comes with a Fox Racing rear shock which is much nicer than the stock. I have all the paperwork on the shock which describes how it was installed and how to adjust it. The tires are wider than the stock version and these are stickier since I did a lot of riding on windy roads. They are perfect for that, but because of their softness, wear out faster than the normal tires so just be aware of that. The bike has never been laid down, however it was tipped over in the garage, so there is a nick on the gas tank and the wind screen has a scuff on it from that. There is a small cut in the seat which I've taken photos of these things so you can see them for yourself. The bike has had regular maintenance and I just had a tune up done on it to make sure it was ready to sell. The shop put a new battery in and cleaned out the jets, they reported everything else looked good. One thing to note, the after market heated hand grips have a wire that runs out from the throttle. On recent rides, I notice at times this can stick, so it may need to be removed or adjusted at some point to be safe. Thanks for looking!
