I am the second owner of this car; I bought it in Grosse Point, MI in 1996 when it had 11,000 miles; during the 15 years since then it has been my baby but the time has come to move on to something else. This Porsche has been garaged and never driven in snow and very few times in rain. I have taken the car out about every 4-6 weeks or so during the winter when the roads are dry for a 30 minute drive to keep her happy. The car has not required much service but what has been done I have records of. The car was in a minor accident; a woman scraped across the front bumper; it was repaired by Autometric in Pontiac/Royal Oak, MI, who are high-end specialists and their work was flawless. I can email the repair invoice if requested. I don't know the ins and outs of rating a car but this 911 is in excellent condition; there are no dings or dents; the carpet & mats have been covered with an additional set of mats and look nearly perfect. The seats are in really good shape, the interior still smells like leather. The 1st owner added upgraded 17-inch Porsche Ruff alloy wheels, a plug-in trickle-battery charger and upgraded a chip that gave the car additional horsepower (No clue exactly what this was). The wheels are awesome and really upgrade the car; there is some minor curb rash on some of them, see photos. I added an Alpine stereo/ CD player and removable face, 6 speakers and trunk-mounted amp. The volume knob is touchy and needs cleaning or replacing. The rear window is in good shape; I've maintained it by using Meguiars products designed for it and it is nice and clear but there are a couple abrasion marks in the 2 upper corners from the top going up and down. This car has the power top which is great; it has the rear spoiler that comes up automatically at 50 and retracts when speed drops below 20; or it can be moved by a switch in the car. If you're not familiar with the 964 model, I encourage you to go to Wikipedia and read about it; many upgrades occurred in this model; it is much more civilized than the car it replaced.
