Vehicle Detail
Heres a rare beast ! 1956 MERCURY MONTEREY 9 PASSENGER WOODY WAGON We applied for a Title a few weeks ago, we will get one in the near future. The new owner will get a clear AZ title once we get it from Arizona Dept of Motor Vehicle. (aprox 4 weeks from now) Original V8 car with a manual transmission (now on the floor) A floorshift wagon, what could be better :) Motor has some parts missing on the outside and not running. Looks like enough room to put a 4.6L DOHC motor for a nice swap. Paint looks to be original / No signs of any previous bodywork or damage. Although this car has been in Az most of its life its a very low rust car compared to most Ive seen. Lower part of the interior floors are bad and have holes thanks to Fords rubber floormats. Raised up floor areas not bad at all. Some rust in the lower quarters and rockers but again, far less then most cars this old thanks to the ARIZONA Climate. Car has been off the road since the 1977 !~ Restore it like showroom or maybe Restomod it. There are not many of these left in the world, get one while you can. Restored versions of these cars sell for $30k or more ! Very complete example of an ERA long gone. All the glass is good except for dr door flat window. Stainless trim in very nice shape, while some of the chrome inside got some pitting. Rear upper hatch hinges broken, while the lower tailgate works fine. A nice unmolested (yet neglected for many yrs) piece of American Iron. The car is like art deco on wheels that anyone would love to have in the garage. Fair RESERVE bid it to win it ! dont regret you didnt later ! What you will see in the pics below is: Check out ALL the pics below Obviously this is not a restored car. Most of these cars were run into the ground and really USED up as you might expect them to be. Anyone can throw shiney paint and a bunch of off the shelf aftermarket parts on a car and say its "restored" But the value for your $ doesnt make worth buying. Mercury Wagons like this restored back to the way it came off the showroom have excellent values on the rise. RESTO MOD IT and make it your own and it could possibly bring in up to 100k if done correctly. A VERY RARE AND HARD TO FIND 50s 9 pass Wagon Car An ERA alot of us remember like it was just yesterday. We really try to have realistic prices on all of our auctions and want to sell cars, not sit on them for another year. LOTS OF PICS, it may take a full minute for them all to load if you have a slow connection, so be patient. You buy cars like this because they remind you of your youth and how much fun you had growing up and cruising was your main priority. These cars are getting so hard to find and rarely show up on ebay this affordable. It is an example of a era long gone. Remember: they arent making anymore :) Built in the USA and resided in Az most of its life. Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain. The more you go over this car, the more you want it. Check out All the pics and then look for more info AFTER the pics etc. There are over 100, make sure you use the schroll bar on the side to see them all. So even with the rust on the floors etc, its not as bad as Some out there for more $. Hope you liked our pics ! Easily the best way to buy a car long distance, this is the 50s wagon you want ! There you have it, probably The BEST represented Wagon on Ebay. Shows you all the good as well as any bad, that way there are less surprises to the buyer. Our Impeccable FEEDBACK speaks for itself. If you buy a car long distance that uses bad pics, you are gambling with your investment hard earned money. Dont let auctions with little to no pics try to fool you. With other auctions, you really dont know what to expect until you take the car apart. While we go over our cars ALL OVER with great pics to help making your decision easier. Along with ANY other questions you may have. INOP condition for loading and unloading if you have it shipped via truck. We have a great source based out of Tucson here for shipping ! Clear AZ TITLE in process of getting aquired. CAR MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 15 days of auctions END ! we can no longer store cars for anyone !! Unless other arrangements have been made before auction ends. Can help with shipping outside the USA too if you need help. This car, you can see clearly what to expect with no surprises and our Feedback speaks for itself ! EMAIL US WITH ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE !! Car will need to ship via Hauler. IF you need a shipping quote, just email us with your city/state and Ill find out our best quote for you !! If there is a winner, please email me when the auction ends and say Hi and we can take it from there. I bank with B of A which makes things easy for many out of state for payment. direct deposit or Cashier checks must clear before car can move. Its a sign of the times, sorry. NO PAYPAL, sorry. Must be paid within 7 days of auctions end. On Sep-14-11 at 22:20:32 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: Yes this car was originally an auto, but was converted to a stick / manuel transmission long ago. Im not sure if its a 3 or 4 speed to be honest, Im going to mess with the shifter tomorrow and try to figure it out. It was done okay but the floor was obviously cut out. If you need a better pic of the trans and under it, Ill post it up in the auction tomorrow so you can see it better. Thanks for looking !!
