Up for sale is a very nice chevy c10. I have to many projects and recently bought a suburban so the truck has to go. It's a 79 chevy c10 silverado. It was assembled in California and was in the San Jose area till I bought in 2010.I'm not going to say the truck is rust free, but it is not rusted in the typical places. The paint is weak around the windshield and the inner part of the front fenders. The two-tone paint scheme really gets some looks and then the interior being two tone also is unique. The truck originally came with a 350 and turbo 350 tranny. I installed an original and stock 454 out of a 1978 gmc parts truck that I had. All of the correct brackets, pulleys and shroud came with it. I had the turbo 350 rebuilt. The truck has a 3.07 single trac 12 bolt rearend. The truck was ordered with heavy duty suspension so it has 8 leaf leaf-springs. I had new dual exhaust installed on later model exhaust manifolds. The truck has daul tanks and all works well. Truck rides on 8 inch rallys withe good tread still left on tires. Here is a list of some of the new parts installed when motor job was done. new u-joints and balanced driveshaft. new motor and tranny mounts. New radiator and hoses and belts. ALL the a/c parts are new. I upgraded the compressor to a seltec and used alan groove brackets to install it. Rebuilt quadrajet and new summit intake manifold. Fuel pump, starter, altenator and battery. The motor runs very well but does use some oil and has some blowby. The 78 truck it came out was clean but very rusty. The motor looks never to have been rebuilt. I but a new timing chain and water pump on it and regasketed the oil pan. On the interior side the truck came with tilt steering and gauge package. I added a factory tach and factory small fuel gauge, delay wipers, later model leather wrapped steering wheel, shaft style am/fm cassette, cruise control (electric aftermarket) and a new dash pad. The seat has a few stress cracks on drivers side and carpet is tore at drivers sill plate. The bed has an older spray in bedliner.
