This was the first year of production for the iconic Z-car, with this 240Z model having been manufactured in 1969 and sold as a 1970 model.01470 miles stated are shown on the current odometer but are not the True Miles as the Speedometer/Odometer was replaced approx. 19 - 20 years ago.The car was originally prepped to SCCA B Street Prepared autocross rules. I have owned it since 1992. The car is registered in Mass. Updates/Performance Enhancements: Motor: Mikuni Triple Carburetors (one Intake Horn per Cylinder), Triple K&N Air Filters, NISMO Race Headers (6-into-1), custom 2.5" mandrel-bent Dual exhaust with glasspacks (LOUD on the street, but just right with a racing helmet on), L26 Block (2.6 Liter 260Z block), Electric Fuel Pump, Radiator re-cored with 4-row for improved cooling, fan shroud added, engine cooling duct, performance Ignition Coil and wires, custom Lightweight Flywheel and reduced diameter Kevlar Clutchpack (engine revs unbelievably fast), new clutch slave cylinder, rebuilt clutch master cylinder, new clutch lines including stainless braided Suspension: Race Springs, Tokico 6-position adjustable Struts (all four corners), front Ball Joints upgraded to larger 1971 units, Polyurethane bushings (front lateral arm and struts, rear A-arms and struts), Polyurethane Steering Rack Bushings, new Steering Tie-rods, Semi-metallic Brake Pads (front) and Shoes (rear), new brake lines including Stainless Steel Braided hoses, Calipers rebuilt and painted red, new rear-wheel brake cylinders, rebuilt finned aluminum drums, rebuilt brake master cylinder, added Brake Proportioning Valve, 1 inch diameter solid Front Anti-Roll Bar with polyurethane bushings Interior: Corbeau Racing Seat, Simpson 5-point Race Harness, racing Roll Bar, Battery re-located from underhood to behind the passenger seat and wired for Battery Tender, carpeting and sound insulation stripped out (other upholstery intact), Onyx Shift Knob, Shift Rod shortened 1.5 inches, Grant small diameter performance Steering Wheel, Heater Core removed Body: front Carbon-fiber Airdam, Flared wheel arches, original 1970 Vents on the hatch removed and glassed-in, all badges removed, rear bumper removed, Moonroof, bullet-style side mirrors, original chrome drip rails removed Needs: Paint, Weatherseals around doors, electrical (headlights dim, hazard switch needs to be replaced, turn signals not working right now, windshield wiper motor slow, dashboard clock doesn't work, gas gauge is inaccurate) Extras: extra set of carburetor jets for passing CT emission inspection (I live in MA now), original parts (driver's seat, rear bumper, SU Carbs, Air Filter, chrome drip rails, rear bumper) Winning Buyer will make arrangements to pickup the car.
