IT IS EQUIPPED WITH THE 7.3 POWERSTROKE TURBO DIESEL ENGINE. THE TRUCK IS OUTFITTED WITH A CENTRAL HYDRAULIC SYSTEM WHICH POWERS THE PLOW, DUMP BED, AND SALT SPREADER. THERE IS A HYDRAULIC PUMP MOUNTED DIRECTLY TO THE ENGINE ABOVE THE POWER STEERING PUMP. THE PUMP IS ENGAGED ELECTRICALLY BY FLIPPING THE SWITCH IN THE TRUCK CAB. I AM NOT SURE WHICH BRAND OF PLOW OR SALT SPREADER IS SUPPOSED TO GO ON THIS TRUCK. TRUCK RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT WITH NO ISSUES WHATSOEVER. THE BATTERIES AND GLOW PLUGS ARE STRONG SO THE TRUCK STARTS UP GREAT WITH NO ISSUES. IT DOES NOT SMOKE OR SPUTTER. SINCE I HAVE HAD IT, I PUT A NEW FUEL FILTER IN IT, (BECAUSE I NORMALLLY KEEP A FEW HANDY FOR ROUTINE CHANGES), AND CLEANED IT A BIT. IT HAS NOT BEEN ON ANY OTHER CAR LOT BEFORE I RECEIVED IT. I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE LOCALLY FROM A WHOLESALE ONLY DEALER, THIS TYPE OF DEALER IS ONLY ALLOWED TO SELL TO OTHER LICENSED DEALERS, NOT TO PUBLIC BUYERS. THE TRUCK DOES COME EQUIPPED WITH FRONT AND REAR STROBE LIGHTS, HOWEVER I WAS ONLY ABLE TO GET THE REAR ONE TO WORK. OCCASIONALLY A BATTERY LIGHT COMES ON, BUT THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO LOW VOLTAGE ON THE DASH GUAGE, AND I HAVE NEVER HAD TO JUMP START THE TRUCK OR CHARGE IT MANUALLY. I SUSPECT THAT THE TRUCK HAS 2 ALTERNATORS AND ONE MAY BE BAD, DISCONNECTED, OR HAVE A BAD SENSOR. EITHER WAY, THE BATTERIES ARE FULLY CHARGING, AND I HAVE NEVER HAD A WEAK START. Sales Tax and Registration: If you are a resident of Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Florida, South Carolina, Massachusetts, Arizona, California, or Washington, you must pay 6% sales tax in addition to the agreed upon purchase price of the vehicle. You will not get double taxed when you return to your state if you have already paid sales tax in KY. There is also a $90 registration fee added to the price of each vehicle. Example: $6000 negotiated purchase price on a car, add $360 sales tax plus $90 registration/dealer fee for a total of $6450 upon delivery.
All titles will be delivered within 30 days. The failure of a licensed automobile dealer to provide a title within 30 days is punishable by revocation of the dealer license and possible jail time. It is a violation of state and federal law if the title is not delivered within 30 days. We never mess around.
Insurance: The person purchasing the vehicle must have written proof provided to us by the auto insurance company or with their letterhead on it provided by you that the purchaser currently has the state minimum auto insurance on another vehicle, or that the vehicle being purchased has been insured. If you currently have insurance on another vehicle it takes 15 minutes to add an additional vehicle to the policy which includes the insurance company faxing or emailing us proof of coverage. A current insurance card will be fine.
If the purchaser of the vehicle cannot provide any of the required forms of insurance, the vehicle will be transferred Title Only. If there is no proof of insurance provided, Connor Motor Sales will not provide a license plate. This is a federal law which all dealers must abide by.
