This 1981, 280ZX was purchased by us nearly twenty-five years ago. Garaged most of that time, driven very little for the past fifteen years.Need the garage space, or I'd keep her given that a lot of $$ was recently spent on a full- professionally done- mechanical overhaul. Less than 1,000 miles have been put on the vehicle in the past five years since the work was done. Have receipts detailing the following: 12/8/06: All new injectors and seals.New starter.New battery and cable.Full tune (new plugs, wires, cap and rotor).New fuel pump ($405.00) and fuel filter.New clutch kit.Machine flywheel.Overhaul transmission.Replace rear main seal.Drop oil pan/clean thoroughly/replace gasket.Re-seal rear differential cover Total spent 12/06: $2,790.11 11/2/07 New radiator/coolantNew water pump.All new belts (3).New steering rack ($$$).New rotors/calipers/brake lines.Replace tumbler/ignition switch. Total spent 11/07: $1,673.32 So, nearly $4,500 recently spent and less than 1000 miles since the work was done. New exhaust system recently installed.What does she need? Interior needs work, new headliner, vinyl side panels and carpet would help the cosmetics. I've just installed some new front seat covers not in the pics. Rear seats are in very good condition as they were rarely used. and folded down most of the time. Equipped with factory AC which does not blow cold currently, have not had it checked, could just need a charge. Factory radio is inop. Exterior is in good condition, professional Imron in white was done over factory blue; forget the exact date but it was around 12 years ago. There is a small section rusted through on the floor pan on the passenger side front seat. With interior cosmetics, this could be a beauty. Completely reliable and needs nothing mechanically to my knowledge. New tires (BFG Radial TA's rear, Vipers front). Vehicle is sold as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied.
