1985 Capri RS 5.0 Hatch 5 spd Only 4,869 RS models built and not many left. also, hi sequence vin, could be one of the last ones built in 85 VERY LOADED too and well optioned ! Very original and unmolested, nice Rust FREE AZ car Downsides: motor had mild fire last spring, and burned up alot of wiring. The last owner installed a one wire HEI style distributer to make the car moveable. Not pretty but functional to move the car around for now. Key does not turn the car on or off, so to turn it on for now Ive been jumping the selenoid. I may try to get the key working this week if I get some extra time. If the ignition switch was wired back better I dont see why it couldnt be a daily driver with some wiring repairs under the hood. These cars restored to stock are gaining value already. Anyone buying it to mod up or make a racer out of it should think twice. I dont want to sell it, but just dont have the room to keep every car I want anymore. Engine runs and sounds Great ! other then an exhaust leak and prob could use a tune up, plug and wires etc. No weird noises or smoke comes from the motor. I romped on the car a little and it feels the way any mid 80s 5.0HO Ford car should....a little rocket ! This is the last of the roller motor carb cars, remember that. ORIGINAL PAINT !! yet baked and scratched off in some areas (mainly rf fender and hatch) But at least no previous body damage or repairs or rust ! Front Tires are actually nice Michelins Rears will need to be replaced asap. Also comes with the original Aluminum Rear window louvers if I can figure out how to ship them with the car. I only have a ignition key for this car. Both original Marchel Foglights still there, but one is missing the glass. Front air damn, still in very nice shape for its age. Correct 2 tone White top / black bottom combo while the RED INTERIOR: shows VERY nice and stock & original Carpet and seats show normal wear and tear for a 30+ yr old Az car, with signs of fading thru out. Dr seat has the typical broken seat mounting bracket too but its not as bad as some Fox bodies Ive had. Headliner gone, dash cracked but overall a decent start. PW and PDL not working, but could just be a fuse or have to do with something from the under hood fire. No wires under the dash where burnt at least. THIS IS NOT A RESTORED CAR, but its a great platform to Start with. And if you have a rusted or bent 85 capri 5.0 in the garage, use it as a donar car to fix this and you are set. What you will see in the pics below is: Ive been all over and Under the car, and have pics to below to prove our claims. We really try to have realistic reserves on all of our auctions and want to sell cars, not sit on them for another year. LOTS OF PICS, it may take a full minute for them all to load if you have a slow connection, so be patient. This is a great car to restore 100% and would do so nicely. Or just fix a few things and drive it the way it is. Everytime I drive it, it draws a small crowd esp if I take it out cruising on a Saturday nite with the Tuner crowds. Most people never even knew these where made. It is an example of a era gone but very well respected. Remember: they arent making anymore :) My take is this has been in Az its whole life.
