I purchased this TDI approx 4 1/2 years ago with 120,326 miles. It has been my daily driver ever since. Automatic transmission was replace around 180,000 miles. Typical for this model. This TDI has always gotten between 40 and 44 MPG. The Good: Great fuel mileage No Rust Leather interior is in fine condition. No rips or bad wear marks. Has never had a problem starting. No Leaks. Shifts through gears as it should. The Bad: Passenger side of the front windshield has a crack. See Pic. It was like this when I purchased, and has not gotten worse. Check Engine Light was on at time of purchase. I had a mechanic look at this, and was told it was probably related to the glow plugs but, if I didn't have trouble starting in cold weather it was probably not a big issue. It has always started ,and I've never looked into it further. When decelerating around 60 MPH and higher, there is a noticeable shimmy in the front end. My guess is it needs a tie rod replacement. Battery in the key has recently stopped working. Needed for keyless entry. Still lockable and unlockable with standard key.
