I am selling a 1982 datsun diesel pickup, 5 speed manual transmission, with the SD22 4-cylinder datsun diesel engine. It is a dually - 4 wheels in the back- to carry more weight. It has a solid steel flatbed frame that needs a new wood floor. The engine may have to be rebuilt because it does not start - wont turn over. The little truck has been sitting in a field for 15 years- thats why only 12400 miles. I have been told that the piston rings need to be oiled for engine to start because all the oil dried up and settled in the oil pan. It was running good and parked in the field. I am willing to take less money for my reserve price. This is a good project for someone because these little trucks are getting harder and harder to find. Complete truck and I am including 1 datsun diesl good alternator - costs $400 - and 2 extra diesel fuel pumps that you can have as spare parts if you need them. The truck was getting 37 miles per gallon. I was told the pumps go for around $500 each because they are so rare and the alternator $400.
