Vehicle Detail
This is a very rare, uncut, almost all original 1968 Ford Bronco 4x4 with very low miles. It has the original three on the tree shifting. Only three people have owned this vehicle, and each owner has kept it garaged. The first owner was an older gentleman that only drove it about three miles round trip each day to the hardware store where he worked, or drove it for an occasional trip to the local shops in Oakhurst where he lived. The second owner was a middle aged police officer that mainly keep this beauty as a collectable in his garage except for an occasional Sunday afternoon cruise around town here in Fresno. The third owner is my sister that got it as her dream car for her 18th birthday in 2001. This was not her primary source of transportation, and the Bronco was kept in the garage except for the occasional cruise. I, her brother, have always maintained this fine beauty for her. I have completely stripped the entire undercarriage and chassis of minor rust, and repainted the entire underside with a rust preventive, high quality paint. It looks amazing! The body is all original, has original paint, has a few small dings, but is very straight with no Bondo. The floorboards and firewall are original as well. The inside has been fully coated with Dupont's Duplicolor Bed Armor. There is also an aftermarket powder coated roll bar. The upholstery is original, and has some tears due to its age. The entire engine compartment has been restored as you can see in the photos. The 289 V8 engine has always had its oil changed every six months, runs very strong, and does not leak. Neither does the transmission. The running gear has always been lubed religiously. I performed a full-tune up replacing the coil, points, distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs, and spark plug wires with high performance products. I also rebuilt the carburetor, and replaced the valve cover gaskets when I installed the new Edelbrock valve covers. The Edelbrock air cleaner is also new. The B F Goodrich All Terrain Tires still have about 3/4 life on them, and are in excellent condition, as are the KYB self-adjusting shocks. The Bronco also has a 110 volt inverter installed under the hood so you can run power tools or anything else that requires a 110 volt receptacle. Except for the gas gauge, which may not be functioning due to a stuck float, all gauges and push/pull knobs are in excellent condition and are fully functional. The Bronco drives very straight. We all are sad to see it leave the family, but we hope it goes to a good, loving home. Happy bidding and congratulations to the winning bidder!
