I am a licensed VA used car dealer and I have been since 1988. I am a small dealer who usually only sells locally but I felt this vehicle should be offered to a wider audience. This vehicle actually belongs to my uncle who has asked me to sell it for him. 1970 Chevrolet El Camino SS. We beleive this car was an original SS 396 but we cannot say for sure. When he purchased it, it had a small block and an auto trans in it. Please do your own research. I have included a photo of the body tag and I am by no means an expert on El Caminos. It now has a fresh 377 ci small block. 400 ci block bored .30, with a 350 crank. Keith Black pistons, Comp cam 292 duration, .510 lift. It has been balanced. It has a Edelbrock intake and Edelbrock 750 Carb. It has a Muncie M-21 trans, with a new clutch and pressure plate. It also has a new heater core and mastercylinder. This was all completed this past winter. It has a 2.73 rear gear. This was an original A/C car but it does not have the compressor on the engine. It is included in the sell. I have driven this car and it sounds and runs great. The transmission shifts great, and everthing operates like it should. The interior looks great. The carpet is new, all of the gauges work as well as the speedo. It is showing 43,606 miles which is not actual. The mileage may be more as the car is driven on weekends. This vehicle has driver quality paint. The inside of the bed is good and not rusty. It has a little rust at the bottom of both quarter panels behind the rear wheels. There is also evidence of repair above the right rear wheel. The is a small area on the top where the clear is coming off. This could be one of the slickest El Caminos around with a new paint job.
