Floors strut towers and other areas are rust free. · New paint 2 years ago. 1980 LE5V Tarpon Blue Metallic · Clean Carfax · Runs and drives great Needs work: · Gas tank is starting to have the “right turn” problem indicating the rubber hose in the tank needs to be replaced. Starts acting up about ¼ of a tank. I don’t drive that far and always keep it full so I haven’t bothered fixing it yet. · The valve stem seals are a bit tired and you can smell a bit of oil in the exhaust. The compression was fine so I haven’t bothered taking it apart to do the seals since it runs so well. · NO CAT: We don’t have emissions where I live and I used a Scirocco 2 downpipe with hollowed cat body. If you have to pass emissions it would be your responsibility to bring the car up to local and federal requirements by adding a cat or using a non cat downpipe as required.
