Vehicle Detail

This is my beautiful 1997 FZJ80 Landcruiser. It has been my daily driver for several years and has been amazingly reliable, with no break downs etc. I bought it several years ago and built it up to be a mild expedition vehicle, capable of exploring the scenic mountains and deserts of Nevada and California. I added a Surco safari roof rack to carry ice-chest and additional camping supplies ($400). I had installed an Old Man Emu 2.5” lift kit ($900) to make way for Goodyear MTR Kevlar 285/75/16 tires, and the ride height is perfect for what I intended. I also added an ARB winch bumper (used- $750) for extra front end protection, but I never got around to installing a winch. Note- Some metal brackets on the bumper need to be bent in order to mount a winch, due to the previous owner (see pic). This was NOT done while attached to my Landcruiser and should be an easy fix. It has factory locking differentials that work great. I have never HAD to use them, but did lock them in a couple times a year just to make sure everything works before heading into the outback…It has power windows, mirrors, moonroof/ sunroof, and powered front seats and all work perfect. The paint is in overall good condition, but the worst is about a 3” scratch on the right front fender flare and a spot on the right rear bumper. The bumper spot was actually a dent when I backed into a small post, but it magically popped out when the weather got warm! It has seating for 7 when the rear seats are in place, but they can be folded up to the sides when you need the extra cargo space. Leather seats- The driver’s seat stitching has come undone for about 11”, the passenger seat has a previous tear repair of 2” but has held up ever since I’ve owned it. All other seats are in great condition. All fluids have been changed with synthetics in 2009 (front/ rear differentials, transfer case, transmission flush, brake fluid, power steering fluid), and engine oil changes have been performed every three months. A NEW radiator was installed in 2010 when the old one had a pin-hole leak, and I installed a new thermostat and hoses just to be safe. I purchased an extra thermostat and kept the old hoses to be carried for emergencies. It has 115,xxx miles on the odometer, but has been turning too slow ever since the larger tires. I estimate it now has around 120k. Pros- EXTREMELY RELIABLE, ARB bumper, 2.5” OME lift, safari rack, good interior and exterior condition, optima battery, no rust, and won't leave oil spots in your driveway!. Very dependable, comfortable, and good looking rig! Cons in MY order of importance from most severe- AC needs a new condensor, Drivers side seat needs re-stitched, Vertical crack on right side windshield (doesn’t obstruct vision), CD player-radio works when in metro areas, but doesn’t have an antennae and CD’s will insert then eject not sure why, white touch-up paint needed for front right flare and rear right bumper. There is a rebuilt title, but does not show it mechanically. Cosmetically there is an airbag idiot light on, and a vent is messed up from when it deployed, and it is typed on the title. Other than that I have not experienced any negative impacts due to the rebuild, so this was not important to me when I bought it and I have no regrets other than having to mention it as a seller! It aligned perfect after the lift installation and drives and brakes straight and true. My truck has been my daily driver for about 4 years. It has been on back roads, but has never been trashed or hard core 4wheeled. It has spent most of its time in 2wd, with the majority of 4wd time being driven around Reno in the winter. I hate to have to sell this, because it’s my dream vehicle, but need cash due to lifes curve-balls… My plan is to buy a lower cost 92-96 Bronco, and have cash left to take care of some unexpected bills. I have this for sale locally, so may end the auction early if someone pays my asking price, which is less than the BIN on Ebay, due to the additional fees. Very low reserve, because I need to sell!. For questions feel free to call (seven, seven, five) 378-0579 or shoot me an e-mail. Someone will ask if this can be driven...This is a GREAT DEPENDABLE RIG, not a piece of junk. Although you can never predict a breakdown, I would not hesitate to drive this across the country and back again. This is based on 4 years of PERFECT RELIABILITY. Buyer is responsible for pickup, or to schedule a transport company to pick up in Sparks NV. 89434. $500 deposit is required within 24 hours of auction end, and the balance must be paid within 7 days of auction end. Contact me for preferred method of payment. I can keep the vehicle at my house for 2 weeks while buyer arranges transportation. Thanks, and the new buyer WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTEDOn Aug-15-11 at 06:51:54 PDT, seller added the following information: The previous accident appears to have been in the front/right. I say this based on the key not fitting the passenger door, but the drivers door unlocks them all. Also when the hood is opened you can see where it had been worked on the right side. Neither of these areas show any evidence of repair from the outside, and both match the rest of my truck perfectly. On Aug-15-11 at 07:29:08 PDT, seller added the following information: A serious buyer is more than welcome to inspect, or have someone come inspect my truck including a thorough test drive. It is encouraged because I want the new buyer to have peace of mind bidding on my truck, and I have absolutely nothing to hide with this rig. I am confident the inspection will reveal what a great deal this is.On Aug-19-11 at 09:33:05 PDT, seller added the following information: I was advised that the key not fitting the passenger door does not necessarily mean it has been replaced. The guy said there was a "valet key" that only fit the drivers door. I was only given one key when I bought it and it fits just the drivers door, but unlocks all doors and hatch if you turn it twice (first time only unlocks drivers door). I made a copy of that key so there is now a spare.
