When Porsche entered the SUV market, they really shook things up and became the new benchmark for the SUV market. Not only is this vehicle proven in almost any off-road conditions, but also it is probably one of the best handling vehicles on the market. And, it is the fastest SUV on the planet. Porsche is the first to truly make a sports car out of an SUV. Plus the 450 hp doesn’t hurt either.
This particular Cayenne Turbo is in immaculate condition and shows very little signs of wear. This car is in far better condition than most with half its mileage. The current owner purchased this SUV in early 2009 from Newport Beach Porsche here in Orange County, CA. It only had 38,000 miles on the car and was sold as a Certified Pre Owned Porsche with the factory extended warranty. For the next two years, this Turbo was used mostly on the highway. It was never abused or taken off road. All the service was performed at either a certified Porsche dealer or Hergesheimer Motorsports (one of the premier Porsche service centers in Orange County). No service was ever over-looked on this car. Just in the past few months, the owner spent nearly $3,500 making sure the brakes, service, and anything else was taken care of. In fact, when the owner called me to have me help him sell the car, he wanted to take the car to Hergesheimer’s first to make sure everything was in good working order…my favorite kind of seller.
When this Cayenne had around 50,000 miles on it, the owner was driving home in a rainstorm and went through a large puddle that splashed water into the engine bay. The motor stopped so the owner had the car towed to the nearest Porsche dealer. Some freak defect allowed water to get into the engine. So, Porsche replaced the entire engine including the turbos, wiring, and all other ancillary components at no charge. They literally flew in a brand new crate engine to be installed at the dealer…amazing.
Since then, the car has performed flawlessly without missing a beat.
