Up for auction is a beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback. It is a GT 350 clone, but was originally an A code GT fastback. This car originally came out of Memphis with a 289 4v and a C4 automatic transmission. It was Rangoon Red with with white/red trim luxury interior. I also have the original owners manual. I purchased this car last year, and the previous owner has done most all of the work to the car. He made it sort of a resto-mod clone. The engine is a 302 built by engine factory.com. It is rated at 350 hp, but realistically I would say its more like 300. The engine specs are posted below. Fun to drive, but nothing crazy. The C4 was also rebuilt with a shift kit. The entire drive train, all new suspension, and 4 wheel power disc brakes have less than 10000 miles on them. The paint was done right before I purchased it, and I have a $6000 receipt for that. With the Shelby accents this car looks incredible. I can't go anywhere without people complimenting it. The wheels are American Racing polished aluminum with 2 brand new, and 2 almost new tires. I had the car aligned and had new lifetime warranty ball joints installed. The interior is nice, but not concourse. I would rate it an 7 out of 10. Great for a driver, but not perfect. It has an aftermarket sound system that will scare your neighbors. It was in there when I bought it, but a little over the top for me. This car is rust free. There has been some past rust repair, but it was done well, and the entire underside is clean. I have new rear seat belts, and a new 8" rear trac-lock that are yet to be installed, but will come with the car. This car is not perfect, but I am not looking for 30 grand either. The pictures are the best way to tell its condition. I am asking a very fair price for what the car is. A couple minor things are the heater blower motor does not work, and the drivers side tail light is out. The brake, and blinker work, but running light is out. I don't get that, cause the bulb looks fine. I must be missing something. Also, the door locks do not function properly. All little things, but I want to be upfront. These cars are so good looking that they can't help, but hold their value. This investment is way more fun than money in the bank. I have a clear title in hand.
