Vehicle Detail
I have a 1990 Suzuki RM 250 that has been mostly restored. A list of new or replaced parts includes: New Cheng Shin Tires front and rear New OEM Front and Rear Wheel bearings New All Balls racing Linkage and Swingarm bearings New OEM Countershaft and RMA racing Rear Sprockets New 520 O-Ring chain Upgraded brakes from a 1997 RM 250 New Tusk Front and Back brake rotors New EBC Brake Pads front and rear New All Balls racing Wheel Spacers New Tusk Clutch Lever and Perch New Throttle Cable New Clutch Cable New Fenders Front (Acerbis) and Rear (UFO) New UFO Side Number Plates New Gripper Seat Cover New Moose Racing Air Filter New FMF Silencer New OEM CDI Box New OEM Ignition Coil New Spark Plug Repaired and Pressure Tested Radiators *Over $2,000 in parts alone! I replaced the old worn out engine with one out of a 1989 RM 250 which has been upgraded with Boyeson Reeds and Intake. Top and bottom end are tight with good compression. Transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. Bike runs good although a bit rich. You could fine tune the carburetor with a couple of turns of a screwdriver. The only issues are- 1: the engine countershaft oil seal needs to be replaced. 2: the Forks and Rear Shock could use new seals. 3: the FMF Muffler is dented in 2 places and doesnt line up properly with the silencer but it doesnt affect the performance that much. 4: the rear brake isnt grabbing as well as it should. Could need a rebuild. I will include all of the old parts minus the old engine which I sold already, many still usable with sale of bike. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR LOCAL PICK UP. *THIS BIKE HAS NO TITLE BUT I CAN WRITE A BILL OF SALE IF NEEDED. **NO RETURN OR WARRANTY IMPLIEDOn Aug-15-11 at 20:47:56 PDT, seller added the following information:Since ebay and PayPal want to be clowns, disreguard the $500 PayPal requirement!! Cash total is due upon pickup of motorcycle for winning bidder. If you have any questions please call me. -Roger 270-801-8943On Aug-17-11 at 13:12:42 PDT, seller added the following information:** According to the Clymers manual, which I will include with the bike, the countershaft oil seal doesnt require removing the engine and splitting the cases! It says to remove the chain and countershaft sprocket, then remove the oil seal and replace.
