1974 Mercedes 450 SL My family acquired this beautiful Mercedes from a good friend of ours in our local car club. He purchased the car from the original owner's family about two years ago after the owner passed away ... This car was always garaged kept, serviced, and lovingly cared for (and it shows). We had planned on showing it this up-coming car show season, but it doesn't appear myself or my family will be showing it as much as we would like. I have had recent thoughts of making it a regular driver, and although the car would do very well as a driver, it is just too nice for that in my view. I feel it would be better suited for someone who wants show it and drive it only on fair weather days. Therefore, I would like to give someone else an opportunity to own this car great car. Overall, this is a beautiful car inside and out. It has been sparingly driven since new (average of 3k a year) and is still considered a lower mileage car for a Mercedes. No matter where you look, it is hard to find wear and tear ANYWHERE at all. Interior, exterior, trunk, engine compartment, dash, trim, wheels/tires, underneath, etc. The car looks and drives like it is only a few years old. Certainly one of the sharpest 450 Roadsters out there and a rare find. It is just fantastic everywhere you look. This will be a very consistent trophy winner for the next owner ; ) Equipped as follows: Power Steering Power Brakes Air Conditioning (COLD) Cruise Control Front and Rear Window Defoggers Power Door Locks Original Deluxe Becker Radio (works great) Nice original leather interior and rear compartment Beautiful trunk comparment (complete with spare and first aid) BOTH TOPS (soft top and removable hard top) The 4.5L V8 engine runs great and makes great power. The transmission is very smooth through all gears and operates as new. All gauges, accessories, and lights are working great. Windows also operate well and the doors shut with a very nice "thud". This car looks as good or better in person and is ready to enjoy right away! I have over $8,000.00 in past service receipts. A really great car and investment at this price ...
