Up For Sale is my Chevelle, I Purchased this car with plans to do a full resto with my son but do to a lay off, The funds are short to do the car right so it is up for sale for someone to complete the project. It is a 1969 Chevelle SS 396 #'s matching 400 Turbo Automatic 12 bolt A/C car. This is a project car that has been carefully disassembled for frame off restoration. The car is currently painted white, not primered I am not trying to hide anything. It is my belief the original color is gold as that appears to be the base coat. The actual color may be available through a vin check. The frame is as solid as new with new rear shocks and brand new motor mounts. The floor pan is in great shape and was sanded, primered, and undercoated. The Cowl Firewall was replaced with new because it was intended to be a totally rust free car when done, hence the reason fenders, hood and core support have not been put back on because I wanted to find cleaner OEM parts to replace them. During the change over the paint tag on the cowl was lost But the Info should be available through the vin tag. The trunk pan has not been replaced but will need to be. The rear quarters are solid there is some rust bubbles under the paint at the lower rear. In the pics under the doors may look rusted but are not, they are cleaned up and primed in black to prevent from rusting up and are very solid, I can send closer pics just e-mail me. Interior is in good shape and looks like new. Dash is complete ready for install. The doors are extremely solid with very little to no surface rust inside and out, tracks have recently been greased. The front fenders are salvageable but need patches I would just replace them. SS Hood also is there but needs to be replaced or repaired, They will be included in the sale, the nose also needs restored but very usable. I have the SS 396 front grille with no broken tines or damage. I have the original SS rims that I will put back on the car if you wish, I removed them for restoration but never finished them, they also have the center caps & beauty rings around them. I also have the chrome and aluminum for the car, around wheel wells, doors, headlights, etc. except for the hood inserts. The Electrical wiring is all there in a box as well many other parts that go with the car, I assume the car is 90% complete but I know the driveshaft is missing. Bumpers are very usable and have all brackets, front bumper does have an area of pitting around liscnce plate. Have 1 front wheel well cleaned sanded and undercoated, missing passenger side. Speedometer shows 48,439, I do not believe this is the actual mileage. As for the engine, and trans I was told they are in good shape and the bottom end of the motor was freshened up but the top still needs done but not in need of a rebuild. Trans has a brand new flywheel. Lifters ect will need replacing as they were removed and not re-Installed, There are many parts in the trunk as seen from the pic's. I live on a main road with any access to a loader and will assist the purchase if you choose to have it transported by a carrier. I will help the carrier to assure safe and proper loading, but all shipping arrangements must be made by the purchaser. THIS NUMBER COINSIDES WITH A 1968 OR A 1969 CHEVELLE SS ( I CANNOT VERIFY THE VIN CODE MATCHING TO CLAIM #'S MATCHING ) THERE ARE NO NUMBERS ON THE ENGINE (((( NEVER INSTALLED FROM GM )))) THEREFORE, I AM SELLING THIS AS A 1969 CHEVELLE SS WITH A CORRECT ENGINE AND AUTOMATIC TRANS .
