Vehicle Detail
This was a project car for my teenage son. He did a good bit of clean up on it and we had a good bit of work done to it to make it street legal. He drove it to High School and work from age 16 to age 18 and I drove it as my daily vehicle for about 6 months to/from work to get familiar with the car...and because i'd given my car to my son for college :-). It's been parked in the yard for the past year. Mechanically this car was in very good working order, will need some work due to it sitting for a while: View pictures for better understanding of discription. This was a top of the line Cadi in 57, power everything...windows, locks, seats, auto sensor for lights and of course cigarette lighters at every turn. When purchased we had the floor replaced, some metal work does need to be done around the lower door line, trunk and the hood area. Some minor body work needs to be done, reblocked and painting is needed...it's primer black at the moment Interior is overall in good shape, needs a good cleaning, seats are all in good shape, although front driver side has some stichwork needed in the seams. New carpet was installed (one piece custom for the model cadi) when the floors where replaced. Most of the mechanical work has been done by a local Meineke shop and records can be provided if needed. AC works, checked out by Meineke, however the ductwork has deteriorated and needs to be reworked for airflow. Work that's been done includes: New V8 350 engine (<6K miles) Jasper custom engine with 100K warranty - installed by Meineke New Radiator Reconditioned Water Pump New Oil Pump New Carburator New Gas Lines and regulator Changed over to Alternator Installed seat belts All brakes have been reworked...stops on a dime New mufflers (twin tailpipes) New electric windshield wipers New bullet tail lights New tires (have less than 2k miles) Shaved Door handles, pops installed, but need heavier grade Stainless due to door weight The car rides very smooth and is in decent condition...this car does need work though, however it isn't the old broken down shell you'd generally find laying around, up to a year ago it was driven daily by either my son or I for about 3 years. It was working fine when I parked it last and purchased my truck. It's being sold as is, I make no warranties or promises other than I can answer any questions you have honestly and straight forward. This will be a great vehicle for a vintage enthusiast who knows how to polish the edges and has some experience with antique cars. Feel free to ask any questions and happy bidding.
