Vehicle Detail

66 fastback 2+2 On Jul-19-11 at 09:04:36 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello and thank you for looking at my listing.. What we have here is a 1966 ford mustang gt 2+2 fast back. The car is in good shape with the two small rust spots pictured. The rust is surface and not through the metal. The body and frame are straight and bondo free. This car spent most of its life now south and has only been in new york a few years. She starts right up and drives great. The motor is a low milage 302 with hooker headers that were treated with jet hot, edelbrok intake, aluminum high capacity radiator, holley carb. The drive train is all brand new. Fully built aod tranny, currie rear end basiclly making the driveline bullet proof. The steering has been updated to a full rack and pinion with power steering. The brakes were just done, and the windshield is also new. It will take minimum dollars to make this car perfect. Unfortunately at this time i dont have the money, time or storage to do this my self. Any questions feel free to ask. PLease also do not bid unless you plan to buy..Thanks again for your time. Deposit must be 10% of the total price .. If you have zero feedback please contact me before you bid If your not planing to buy this car Please don't bid . Been burned once already With someone who bailed out of an agreement On Jul-24-11 at 06:58:56 PDT, seller added the following information: also this car is an "A" codeOn Aug-08-11 at 12:07:52 PDT, seller added the following information: I've been involved with Mustangs for over 20 years. I must say, its lucky that your car was built in New Jersey (second letter of your vin is 'T' for NJ), since only NJ used what is known as a 'buck tag'. The buck tag is that wavy piece of metal fastened to the fender apron in the engine compartment. If you look at any '65-'66 Dearborn or San Jose built car, they wont have one. See that code 'P10?' That was Ford's code for 'GT'. The purpose of the buck tag was to let assembly line workers know how to assemble a particular car; add GT, add Power Steering, add 4 speed, etc. Also, there is the code '63B' which is Ford's code for 'Pony Interior'. If it were a standard interior, it would say '63A'. You can confirm all this by either phoning a reputable Mustang shop in your area, or by checking online. For 1966 only, Ford offered the color 'Emberglo' which is code 'V' on the drivers door. In addition there was the 'Emberglo' style Pony Interior, which was code '64'. Unbelieveably, Ford made quite a few GT coupes, convertibles, and fastbacks, all in this particular color combo--I've seen at least a dozen of them on Ebay. Regardless, this car IS valuable, since it is a factory GT/Pony car.
