1987 Mercedes Benz 300D Turbo Diesel, Cabernet/Parchment, 176k miles. Very good cosmetic condition, excellent mechanical. Extremely durable, rare and fast example of the mb diesel stable. It runs and drives without flaws, engine sounds like it is supposed to and runs cool, transmission is excellent, suspension is solid, tight and straight, no leaks. Exterior very good - sides have been refreshed at some point and are very nice, paint on the roof is original and a bit faded, has some rust in the usual places - nothing serious, no accidents. Interior excellent, seats are firm, no cracks in the dash, sunroof, clock and a/c do not work (a/c compressor is not frozen) - all else does, radio needs to be coded - the odometer does work. Recent battery, michelin tires 80% tread remaining, new rear brakes (pads/rotors), front brakes have about 50% left, complete exhaust system by mercedes and gas shocks a few years ago, oil and filter just replaced less than 100 miles ago. The 3 liter turbo engine is 143 hp (the most powerful diesel engine until the 98-99 e300 turbo). Please keep in mind this is a 24 year old diesel mb and while not perfect is also not the usual decrepit old diesel that needs everything. If looking to daily drive a diesel mb it will be hard to find a better one.
