"Diesel Edition" Excellent fuel mileage combines with European Sport/Lux features in this 2006 VW Jetta TDI. This SE sedan (also known as "Special Edition" or "Diesel Edition") includes a long list of factory options like a premium audio system with CD changer, Sirius radio and steering wheel controls, heated front seats, a multi-function display, alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, all-weather mats and more. This car is in very good condition inside and out, and The 1.9 liter turbo-diesel motor provides both ample power and excellent fuel economy. This is a lifetime Florida car that hasn't been exposed to the road salt and rough conditions of northern roads. It has had just one previous owner. NADA suggested clean retail price for this car is OVER $15000. Our reserve price is set FAR below that. The exterior is in very good condition. There are no significant dents, and the paint shines all around. This is a rust-free Florida car, and the underside of the car is just about as clean as the top. Autocheck shows no accident history or any other problems. Exterior features include alloy wheels and a rear spoiler. The SE model is actually 2006.5 version of the Jetta TDI, and it is identified by the "Diesel" badge on the front fenders (as well as by the option group.) The interior is also in very, very good condition. There are no rips, holes, or tears in the "leatherette" seats. The carpets, dash and door panels are also in excellent condition. There's no sign that this car was ever smoked in - no smoke odor and no burn marks. Both front seats are heated. The driver's seat has a power recline function. A set of all-weather rubber floor mats come with the SE model. Rear seat passengers ride in comfort with plenty of space and their own A/C vents. You can fold down either or both of the rear seats if you need extra cargo area - or you can just flip down the pass-thru door in the center of the seats. This Jetta TDI has some nice convenience features: power windows, locks and mirrors; remote entry, cold air conditioning; tilt and telescopic wheel; AM/FM/CD Changer with MP3 capability and Sirius satellite radio, 110v outlet; Cruise control; A/C vent in the glove box, and more. The steering wheel has controls for the audio system and the multi-function display which show a trip computer, vehicle settings and more. Safety features include dual air bags, front side air bags, curtain air bags, ESP stability and traction control and ABS. note: Sirius radio service must be subscribed to. The DSG transmission is an automatic that lets you shift manually if you choose to. The manual, both remote keys and the valet key are all with the car. The trunk is clean and very roomy. A rubber trunk mat and front license plate bracket are included. The 1.9 liter turbo diesel runs very well, and should continue to do so for a very, very long time. Original window-sticker fuel mileage was rated at 35/42, and has since been revised. More importantly, REAL WORLD driver's are reporting an AVERAGE of 41.2 mpg at the official government fuel economy website. The tires have good tread remaining. Autocheck shows accurate mileage.
