Vehicle Detail
1984 Mazda RX-7 GS 137,532 original miles 12A Wankel rotary engine Cruise control Power mirrors Power antenna 5-speed manual A/C Driver adjustable lumbar support Viper alarm system You must see and drive this classic to fully appreciate it. It has been well maintained, and is in pristine condition - a very clean car inside and out! It is currently in the garage, stays out of the snow and salt, and has no rust (thanks to Ziebart), original paint, everything is in proper working order, A/C converted to R134a and works great, reliable daily driver for last ten years. Only genuine Mazda replacement parts have been installed except for the following: [Mindtrain complete exhaust system (header back), aftermarket starter and alternator, Pioneer CD player (original tape/radio player is included and can easily be reinstalled), Pioneer speakers in front kick panels, Sony speakers in back, aftermarket replacement pneumatic cylinders on rear hatch] This classic turns a lot of heads and is reliable and fun to drive! The only flaws are: pin stripes beginning to wear away rearward of the fastback hatch (could easily be touched up), vinyl at top of doors beginning to wrinkle, chip, and crack (can be easily removed for repair, and I already have new OEM plastic pieces for around the door locks), rebuilt salvage title due to minor body damage at the right rear quarter and driver side door (all damage has been fully repaired). Unfortunately, even though the damage was minor, because of parts availability and the age of the car, repair parts and labor estimates exceeded 80% of the vehicle market value (according to the insurance company), requiring a "rebuilt salvage" title. I have owned this RX-7 for eleven years and it was my daily driver for about ten years but I bought a vehicle more suited for hauling. I still enjoy driving the RX-7 in nice weather. Aside from routine maintenance, any noted issues were delt with promptly because it was my only vehicle. Just to list a few maintenance repairs that come to mind from my eleven years of ownership: brand new tires and alignment (July 27, 2011), new hydraulic cylinders (brake pistons, brake rear wheel cylinders, clutch master, clutch slave), new clutch, new flexible brake lines, new brake rotors, new brake drums, new wheel bearings, new battery, new starter, new alternator, remanufactured water pump, new idler arm and bushing, new sway bar end links and polyurethane bushings, new radiator hoses, new A/C hose, new spark plugs and wires, new distributor cap and rotor, new headlights, new complete exhaust system, and even a few new interior trim pieces that were cracked or faded. Of course, these things are not all new now but still have a lot of life left in them, especially since most items were purchased as brand new genuine Mazda parts. Feel free to contact me and make arrangements to see this classic so you can fully appreciate its excellent condition! I am available most evenings and weekends (West Chester, OH).
