Vehicle Detail
Up for your consideration is this beautiful 1960 Linclon 2 door hardtop. This car was purchased by it present family in 1975 with just over 24,000 miles. In the past 36 years the car has gone 5,000 careful miles for a total of 29,866 as of today. The car has been stored inside and covered, we believe until the owner fell ill, the car had not been started in 20+ years. The car has had 2 repaints over the years orginally the car came from the factory Black, then green for a short time and now it is Red, that was done by it's current family. The interior of the car is original, the color of the seats are Silver with black carpet, we believe the carpet to be orginal also. There is one small spot on the drivers side center that has a strange crack like a star, it's around an inch in size. The dash pad also has a slight sag over the glove box, no cracks just a strange sag. The under side of the car is just as clean as the top no rust, no funny floor patches or anything like that. We do have the car running and driving and will stop, but it has sat for a very long time. The car needs to be gone over, tune up, tires, brakes and so on. Don't plan on driving the car it needs to be towed home and worked on. We did clean out the carburator and the gas tank to get it running and we did rebuild the wheel cyclinders so the car will stop. The car stops well enough to get on a trailer we think it might need a new master cyclinder or a booster? Before we started the car we had been turning the car over by hand and we noticed three of the valves not moving. We pulled the springs off the three valves and pulled the seals off of the valve to soak them with oil. We did free them but we were told not to reinstall the seals until the car has ran for a while. So the passengers side need to have the valve seals re-installed, all of the valves should have new seals while you are at it. The antenna for the radio also needs to be fixed, the owner has taken it out and it is on the floor of the trunk. Ok so what we are selling is a project, a some what easy father & son project but the car will need some work. Please only bid if you have the cash in hand or can pay with Pay Pal. Please, Please also have a way to get the car home " You can not drive it home " . We also would like to have the car gone or at least in the process of leaving in a two week time frame, communication is the key. If you would like to take a look at the car, please e-mail me, we will not be stopping the auction early so bid to win and please ask questions, The pictures are from June of this year I got a new camera and didn't check the date. Thanks for looking.
