Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is part of my collection, a beautiful black 1988 Honda SuperMagna 750 with much chrome and only 18,000 miles. This model bike was the first collaboration by Arlen Ness with a motorcycle manufacturer, and has become a collector's item. It was only made by Honda for two years, in 1987 as a 700cc model, and in 1988 as a 750cc model. I am a 62 year old attorney who collects fine motorcycles, and I bought this bike for my wife. She is giving up riding, and has decided to sell it. This bike is completely original, and has the stock solid rear disc wheel and the front spoke wheel, both of which have been chromed by the previous owner, shaft drive, solo and detachable passenger seat, small crash bars, and a midsize windscreen, and all are in excellent condition. The only non-original part(s) of this bike are some of the original pieces, and only because they have been nicely chromed by a previous owner. The paint is glossy, and there are no dents or scratches in the plastic or metal. The stock pipes are in excellent stock condition, with glossy chrome, no dents, and the baffles fully intact (some SuperMagna owners drill out the baffles for a louder sound, but these pipes are unmolested). This bike has been METICULOUSLY over-maintained, using only Amsoil full synthetic fluids, all of which have been changed within the past 500 miles. The carbs have been synched, the plugs changed, and the fuel strainer cleaned. In short, since I would never risk having my wife ride anything but a bike in the best mechanical condition, I know that this bike is in wonderful mechanical and cosmetic condition. So much so that, as with all the cars and bikes I've sold on E-bay, I am offering this bike with a WARRANTY (when have you ever seen a private seller offer a warranty on E-bay?!). If anything in the engine or transmission fails in the first 200 miles or 20 days, whichever comes first, I will pay for 33% of the repairs at a Honda dealer, abuse excepted. To let you know every detail of this fine machine, there are three very minor cosmetic flaws in the bike that you would have to look closely to see. 1) The tank stickers are a bit faded, and it appears that the previous owner coated them with something, leaving very small "spider legs" coming off the stickers in a couple places (see pictures); 2) The chrome surrounding the tachometer has a small crimp in it - barely noticeable unless you have it pointed out (see pictures); 3) the underside of the left lower exhaust pipe has some fine scratches, as though someone got the pipe too close to a low curb - you have to look under the bike to see the scratches (see pictures). As I said, you have to have someone point these minor flaws out, or you'd probably never notice them. That's it for negatives. This bike is REALLY beautiful and draws attention wherever you go. Check my 100% E-bay rating, which includes the sale of many cars and bike, and bid with the utmost confidence - I would never risk that rating by misrepresenting anything. If you need more pictures of any portion of this bike, I'll be happy to send them to you and, of course, if you live anywhere in the Central Florida area, I'd invite you to come and take this beautiful bike for a test drive. Any questions - please do not hesitate to call Karl Stevens at my direct office number 863-226-8012. GOOD LUCK BIDDING.
