1988 BMW M6 E24 M6 A high-end two-door luxury sports coupe dubbed the 'Bavarian Ferrari,' the E24 6-series is considered by many to be the most aesthetically pleasing BMW of all time. Just 86,219 units were built between November 1975 and April 1989. About half of those came to the United States. The ///M cars were first introduced in the US in 1987 when a US version M6 was produced for the American market. 1,767 were built. In 1987 Road and Track featured the U.S. E24 M6 as one of the 10 fastest cars in America with 0-60 time of 6.1 seconds. The E24 M6 is fast even by today's standards. Why should you buy my car: My M6 is one of the last built in 1988. Only a handful of M sixers were built in 1989 and all of them for non-US markets. If you can find one of those I would suggest that you skip mine and buy the 1989 model. The reality is only 2 are known to exist today, so you really can't go wrong with this one. This car is in original condition, with aesthetically pleasing modifications to enhance the overall driving experience. The M6 has always been garaged and maintained meticulously with all necessary service performed on-time by certified BMW Master technicians and most of it as preventative. Being a 23 year old car with 145,000 miles, it has been barely driven. Please note that I enjoy the car on weekends so the mileage will be slightly higher than stated. The E24 M6 will continue to increase in value. I am looking to sell as I have too many toys in my garage. I currently own a HD Night-Rod, Cadilac STS-V, and a Chevrolet Tahoe.
