Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a very solid, very straight, very restorable 1962 Chevy II Nova 4 door, with clear, Ohio title. This is an original six cylinder car, three speed column shift. Basically, the engine and transmission were pulled out before I bought it, and a small block chevy engine and three speed transmission was put in. The engine most likely will need rebuilt, and I say that only because I have never heard it run. The engine turns over with a wrench on the crank, and may possibly be good just as it is, but I just don't have the time or desire to work on it. The radiator is in the trunk, along with some extra parts. The engine compartment is actually in very good shape. It's not rusted out anywhere, just needs a good cleaning and paint. Everything else about this car looks to be original. The underside is extremelly solid. No problem with the frame or floor boards. The door sills aren't even rusted out. This car aparently was stored inside in a dry garage. The interior is in nice condition, except the front seat will need recovered. The back seat, headliner, door panels, are in great shape. All the windows are in good condition, no cracks, and all roll up and down nicely. The dash is almost perfect. All the original stuff is under the dash. The wiring hasn't been hacked up. It all looks pretty good. Everything appears to be in it's original place. The wiring actually looks very good. The heater box looks good. All the switches work as far as I can tell. Nothing is missing. Glove box door works good. The pull type emergency brake works good. This was a plain Jane car from the factory. Nothing fancy on this one. It still has the factory hub caps. I've never driven this car, but from what I can see, it won't take much to get it in working order again. Put a battery in it and try the engine. Heck, it might run good.(possibly a 327) The shifter and clutch are in good shape, and complete with all the linkage. The non-power steering feels very tight. The tie rod is nice and snug. The wheel bearings turn freely and have no play in the wheels. All the drum brakes look fine. The car is in primer, but will need primed again before you paint it, as it's old primer. It obviously doesn't have much bondo, if any, or it would have rusted through by now. I was told the primer was several years old. Even the original bumpers are in pretty good shape. Not show quality by any means, but not rusted. Not even the brackets rusted out, as is usually the case. Whoever gets this car, I think, will be pleasantly surprised. I am not asking a lot for the car. I just want it to go to someone who has the time to restore it back to original condition. I bought it for a very reasonable price, and am only asking what I have in it. It's something I bought on a whim, but realize I'll never get to it. I restore vintage motorcycles for a living, so don't have time for this. The car has a clear Ohio title. The serial number plate is still on the door jam, and the paint code tag is still on the firewall. Even though this is a 4 door, it's still the first year for the Nova, and these days 4 doors are bringing good money. You'll be happy with it, especially with the low price I am asking. As with any other vehicle I list on Ebay, this one is also for sale here at the bike shop, so if I get a good offer here, I will sell it. I am always open for serious offers or trades on any vehicle i list on Ebay. So, don't be afraid to shoot me an email with your offer. I'll answer all. I am In western Ohio, and can have the car delivered to your door if you don't want to come get it. I have the lowest price drivers out there. They charge a flat fee, not by the mile. Just as an example, I would guess I could have it delivered 500 miles for $500 to $700. It all depends on who is going your way, and how much room they have. So don't hesitate to bid just because you don't know how to arrange shipping. I'll take care of it for you, but you will be responsible for shipping costs, usually paid upon delivery. As for payment, I'll expect $500 downpayment within 24 hours of the end of the auction, and the balance within 7 days. I accept 100% by Pay Pal, cash, cashiers check, money orders, or wire transfers. If you are overseas, I definatelly need a wire transfer, or 100% Pay Pal. I'm very easy to work with, and will supply my phone number to the winning bidder, and we can work it out at your convenience. I can store the car for up to 60 days if need be, but it will still have to be paid in full within 7 days. Email me with any questions. I'll send my phone number upon request. Thank you all for looking, and may God bless you all. Richard
