Vehicle Detail
We bought this car used from a dealership in Eastern CT in 2008 with about 42k on the clock. While we have put quite a few miles on it, we have kept it in good condition and maintained it consistently, first at Colonial Ford in CT (would not recommend), and then Brewster Ford in NY. The car runs and drives well, as it should, and with the exception of the two DC outlets in front, all devices and features work as advertised. The AC outlet does work, however, so we are able to keep a cell phone powering with that. We tried fuses to fix the DC plugs, but we had no luck, and did not go further. The car presents nicely, but there are the various scratches, chips and dings one would expect. I tried to show them in the pics. As I'm listing it now without yet seeing the Auto Check report, I don't know what will show up, but the Carfax record at the time showed us as the second owner (not counting the dealership that took it on trade), and it did show an accident. I have no details on that event, but I do notice a bit more stone chipping on the front of the hood than I'd expect, so perhaps that was where it was hit. I'm guessing because perhaps the paint job didn't hold as the factory paint would, but I don't know. Also, there is a dent we got at our son's baseball game from a pop foul (see pic). Features include the extra airbag package available at the time, leather, nav, and the CD changer. I do not think that a moon roof was available on the 2005 model; there is no moon roof on this one. We have all of the nav discs, two sets of keys/remotes, but no manual was included when we bought the car. It's down-loadable in PDF form. Just a few weeks ago, the air started blowing warm, and after injecting dye into the system, Brewster Ford found that the evaporator core was bad. We had it repaired (ouch!), and the AC now runs perfectly, and though it should serve you well for a long time, this repair was an influence on my wife's wish to sell the car. She has loved driving it, and she had mixed feelings while I took the pics and made the listing, but we have bought a new one. Terms: Paypal deposit of 250.00 required within 24 hours of auction end, or bid is forfeit and default reported to eBay. Balance is due in cash or certified funds only. I welcome and urge you to contact me for an inspection/test drive while the auction is ongoing. I'll also be happy to answer any questions or supply further pics. With that said, your winning bid is a firm agreement to purchase, and not an appointment to test drive the vehicle. We reserve the right to drive a few miles for test drive/brief errand purposes. Car sold "as is" of course, and shipping and/or providing temporary transit plates for the drive home is your responsibility. Thanks for looking, and best of luck finding the right vehicle for you!
