1970 XM818 Military 5ton 4x4 “Bobbed” This truck started as a XM818 6x6 tractor and purchased directly from the Army National Guard unit at Fort Bragg, NC. The original frame has not been cut, only the rear suspension was removed and replace with a front axle, springs, shackles from another Military 5ton truck. The 5th wheel plate was removed and replaced with a bed assembly From a M105 military trailer and can be removed easily if needed(6 bolts). The original 11x20 ndt tires have been replaced with military 16x20(53”) Michelin xzl tires on military 2pc combat wheels. Tires are in good shape with 70% or better tread left. This truck does NOT require a CDL to drive and can be registered as a antique ex-military vehicle. It’s a head turner and a Great OFFROAD go anywhere truck.
