Features: The car has the "sports package" which includes leather seats and 16" alloy wheels and premium sound. Vehicle comes equipped with "state of the art" spare wheel. It is full 16" alloy wheel (like other 4 tires) with Pirelli tire. Can be used anytime as a full replacement wheel/tire. Car has anti-theft radio device. Purchased all-year tires from Sears at 126,000 miles mark which means tires have about 30,000 miles left on them. Replaced muffler (Ansa performance exhaust [no loud noise] in Aug '07 as well as the 4 oxygen sensors. Replaced catalytic converter in Aug '07 with aftermarket part as OEM was extremely expensive (5x). Condition: Car has a clean title history. Interior of car is in excellent condition. Non-smoker. All scheduled maintenance, including regular oil changes have been made. Maintenance records and mechanical inspection report are available upon request. Some small portions of clear coating on hood have rubbed off (not the paint) from old age (see hood photo). One wheel is slightly bent (minor bend, couple inches wide). No frame damage. At BMW Inspection 1 Service on 02/01/11, staff said aftermarket muffler and catalytic converter are rusty and parts make some noise at idle. Replacement not necessary at that time, but advisable sometime in the future, particularly if parts stop making noise at idle. Car passed last D.C. emissions test in Sep '09 but over past year, the "check engine" light comes on, which may signal a decrease in emissions performance. Aside from the exhaust/catalytic converter, I believe the car to be in great working condition. The only reason I am listing the car at such a low price is due to possible work needed with the exhaust. If this were not the case, I would literally price the car around $3,000 because it is in good condition overall. No warrenty: The vehicle is free from any lien, security interest or other encumbrance. The vehicle is sold "as-is" without any warranties (ie. the prospective buyer acknowledges and understands that s/he accepts all future responsibility for the repair and maintenance of the vehicle). Reason for sale: I recently changed jobs; I now live and work by metro (subway) station and barely drive, so I no longer need car. Car may need some exhaust work (check engine light is on for periods of time) but because I don't drive the car, I don't want to invest more money in it when I barely use it. This car would be an excellent choice for someone who drives regularly who wants a car at an undervalued (cheap) price, and would keep it for at least a couple years.
